Full job description

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to oversee accounting operations, ensure compliance, and manage financial reporting. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience in accounting, taxation, and finalization of books, along with the ability to supervise junior team members.

Key Responsibilities

· Oversee end-to-end accounting operations and ensure accuracy of books of accounts

· Finalization of financial statements, including balance sheet and profit & loss account

· Review and supervise work of junior accountants and interns

· Handle GST, TDS, Income Tax, and other statutory compliances and filings

· Conduct ledger scrutiny, bank reconciliations, and variance analysis

· Prepare MIS reports and provide insights to management

· Coordinate with auditors for statutory, internal, and tax audits

· Ensure timely closure of books on a monthly and annual basis

· Manage accounts payable/receivable and cash flow monitoring

· Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements

Eligibility Criteria

Education: B.Com / M.Com / CA Inter

Experience: Minimum 1-10 years of relevant accounting experience

Strong knowledge of accounting principles, taxation, and compliance

Required Skills

· Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software (Tally or similar ERP)

· Strong knowledge of GST, TDS, Income Tax, and statutory requirements

· Experience in financial reporting and finalization of accounts

· Leadership and team management abilities

· High attention to detail and problem-solving skills

· Ability to handle deadlines and multiple responsibilities

Preferred Attributes

· Experience working with CA firms or in a professional services environment

· Strong understanding of audits and regulatory compliance

· Ability to independently manage accounting functions

· Good communication and stakeholder management skills
