Job Description – Senior Accountant

Position: Senior Accountant
Department: Accounts & Finance
Location: Hoshiarpur, Punjab

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to manage the company's accounting operations, statutory compliance, financial reporting, and taxation. The ideal candidate should have prior experience working under a Chartered Accountant (CA) and be capable of handling accounts independently.

Key Responsibilities

Maintain day-to-day accounting records and ledgers.
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
Handle GST, TDS, Income Tax, and other statutory compliances.
Coordinate and assist with internal and external audits.
Perform bank reconciliations and monitor cash flow.
Manage accounts payable and receivable.
Process payroll and employee reimbursements.
Prepare MIS reports and financial analysis for management.
Ensure accurate bookkeeping using accounting software (Tally ERP/Tally Prime, Busy, or similar).
Coordinate with banks, auditors, vendors, and government departments.
Maintain proper documentation and financial records.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Commerce (B.Com); M.Com preferred.
Minimum 5–8 years of accounting experience.
Previous experience working with a Chartered Accountant (CA) firm is mandatory.
Strong knowledge of GST, TDS, Income Tax, PF, ESI, and statutory compliances.
Proficiency in Tally Prime, MS Excel, and accounting software.
Good analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.

Preferred Candidate

Experience in manufacturing, poultry, agriculture, or FMCG industry will be an added advantage.
Strong understanding of financial planning, budgeting, and compliance.

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
