JOB DESCRIPTION – BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT ASSOCIATE

About the Role

ABLE Design & Manufacturing is looking for a Business Development Associate with a combination of technical knowledge and business acumen to support the company's growth initiatives.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for identifying potential business opportunities, connecting with prospective clients, understanding customer requirements, supporting sales activities, and developing strong client relationships. This role is well suited for candidates with a BE + MBA background who are interested in technical sales, business development, and the manufacturing industry.

Key Responsibilities

· Identify and research potential customers, markets, and new business opportunities.

· Generate and qualify leads through various channels such as calls, emails, LinkedIn, databases, and industry networks.

· Understand customer requirements and coordinate with internal technical teams to provide appropriate solutions.

· Support the preparation of quotations, proposals, presentations, and other business documents.

· Communicate with prospective and existing clients to understand their requirements and provide timely responses.

· Conduct follow-ups with leads and prospects to move opportunities through the sales pipeline.

· Assist in preparing and maintaining the sales pipeline, lead database, and CRM records.

· Coordinate with Design, Engineering, Project Management, Production, and other teams for customer requirements.

· Participate in client meetings, product discussions, presentations, and business development activities.

· Support the Business Development/Sales team in achieving revenue and customer acquisition targets.

· Conduct basic market and competitor research to identify new opportunities.

· Build and maintain professional relationships with customers and business partners.

· Track sales activities, prepare regular reports, and provide updates to management.

· Support participation in exhibitions, trade shows, industry events, and networking activities.

· Stay updated on industry trends, customer needs, and market developments.

· Take initiative in identifying opportunities to expand the company's customer base.

Required Qualification

Mandatory:

· BE/B.Tech + MBA/PGDM

· MBA specialization in Marketing, Sales, Business Development, Operations, or related fields is preferred.

· Experience: 0–1+ years in Business Development, Sales, Technical Sales, Marketing, or a related role.

Freshers with strong communication skills and relevant internship/project experience are encouraged to apply.

Required Skills

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

· Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.

· Good negotiation and persuasion abilities.

· Strong presentation and pitching skills.

· Basic understanding of sales and business development processes.

· Good analytical and market research skills.

· Ability to understand technical products/services and communicate their value to customers.

· Good knowledge of MS Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and other MS Office tools.

· Familiarity with CRM tools is an added advantage.

· Strong follow-up and time-management skills.

· Target-oriented and result-driven approach.

· Willingness to travel for client meetings or business development activities when required.
