Services Support Associate II, Payroll– India Payroll Accounting activities

We are looking for professionals with relevant experience in Payroll Accounting, Reconciliations, Accruals, Amortizations, and Audit, who are looking forward to enhancing career in the Finance field.

Work you'll do

As a Services Support Associate II, Payroll on the India Payroll and Personnel Solutions team, you will be responsible for…

Preparing and recording payroll entries for regular payroll and full and final settlement activities in SAP
Reconciling reimbursement payments, preparing periodic accruals and amortizations, and supporting monthly payroll accounting close activities
Analyzing payroll transactions for classification, accounting treatment, and compliance with payroll policies and accounting standards
Supporting audit, tax compliance, financial reporting, and payroll-related documentation and process improvement activities
Coordinating with stakeholders to validate inputs, address payroll inquiries, prepare ad hoc and leadership reports, and maintain compliance with PII guidelines

The team

This position is a part of Deloitte Consulting India Pvt Ltd, within the Financial Services Group – Payroll and Personnel Solutions service line. In the India paying team, the responsibilities assigned are in support of India Payroll activities of the Deloitte India offices across four locations - Hyderabad, Mumbai, Bengaluru and Gurgaon.

Location: Hyderabad

Shift Timings: 11 AM to 8 PM

Qualifications

Required:

Graduate or postgraduate degree in Accounting
1-3 years of experience in India payroll processing, payroll accounting, data maintenance, and regulatory compliance
Experience in US payroll accounting
Experience preparing payroll entries, reconciliations, accruals, amortizations, and audit support
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
Knowledge of India tax and statutory compliances, and basic auditing and internal control standards
Typing speed of 45-50 words per minute with data entry capability of 7000 KSPH with 5% or fewer errors

Preferred:

Experience with SAP S/4 HANA
Experience supporting payroll and benefits accounting in SAP ledgers
Experience preparing periodic reporting for leadership and stakeholders
Experience handling payroll inquiries from employees and business stakeholders
Experience creating process documentation for accounting or compliance activities
