JOB DESCRIPTION

As a member of the Freight Forwarding team Kuehne+Nagel, you will play a key role in transporting goods, optimising processes, and fulfilling our customers' promises. We are looking for a Customer Care / Customer Experience professional to join our team and become a key link between our customers, Sales and Operations. In this role, you will use your freight forwarding knowledge, commercial acumen and customer-first mindset to strengthen relationships, drive retention and identify opportunities for business growth.

How you create impact

Act as a front-line contact for customers, responding to queries, feedback and complaints while ensuring a consistently high level of service.
Drive customer engagement, satisfaction, retention and reactivation in close partnership with Field Sales and the Operational Care Center.
Build strong operational relationships through daily customer interactions, regular care visits and proactive consultation.
Understand customer requirements, qualify opportunities and provide competitive quotations within agreed pricing guidelines, following through to closure.
Support customer onboarding and ensure customer requirements are accurately captured and transferred into the relevant systems.
Partner with Finance and Revenue Care teams on credit limits, business development and customer-related challenges.
Analyse customer complaints and feedback, identify root causes and improvement opportunities, and work with stakeholders to drive resolution.
Create and continuously improve customer reports and insights to support better decision-making.
Contribute to the achievement of financial targets, customer retention and strategic business objectives.

What we would like you to bring

5+ years of relevant experience in customer care, customer experience, freight forwarding, commercial or business development roles.
Strong communication and commercial skills, with the ability to engage confidently with customers and internal stakeholders.
A highly customer-driven mindset, with a genuine focus on building long-term relationships.
Strong understanding of the freight forwarding / logistics industry and market dynamics.
Business development experience or a strong commercial orientation will be an advantage.
Operational knowledge within logistics or freight forwarding would be an added advantage.
Experience within specific industry verticals is not mandatory — we are open to candidates from diverse sectors.
Dangerous Goods (DG) knowledge is not mandatory, but would be an added advantage.
