Full job description

Dingir Ventures Private Limited is a fast-growing energy and natural resources company specialized in mining operations, coal agglomeration, and clean energy solutions. Headquartered in Ranchi, Jharkhand, our core operations focus on open-cast and underground mining, advanced coal washing, crushing, sizing, and the manufacturing of high-efficiency solid fuel briquettes. We are looking for a dynamic and resilient Production Engineer to lead our continuous-process plant operations.

Position Summary

As a Production Engineer at Dingir Ventures, you will not be working in a sterile, assembly-line environment. You will be on the ground, managing a heavy industrial, continuous-process plant (such as our coal washeries or briquetting facilities). You will be directly responsible for driving daily output targets, managing material workflows, optimizing resource efficiency, and maintaining stringent B2B quality standards in a high-demand, rugged operational environment.

Key Responsibilities & Duties1. Process & Throughput Optimization

Oversee and streamline the daily operations of continuous-process plant machinery, including coal washing, sizing, crushing, and pulverizing units.
Monitor equipment metrics to identify and eliminate bottlenecks, maximizing hourly and daily tonnage output.
Coordinate closely with the Maintenance Team to minimize unscheduled downtime and schedule planned cleanouts or tool changes.

2. Briquette Manufacturing & Line Management

Directly manage the solid fuel briquetting production lines, ensuring the precise blend of raw materials (coal dust, culm) and binders.
Optimize high-pressure briquette presses and rotary drying systems to achieve optimal structural integrity and moisture levels in the finished product.

3. Resource Allocation & Shift Management

Manage, schedule, and lead shift workers, operators, and contract laborers, fostering a culture of accountability and high performance.
Oversee the continuous raw material feeding systems, ensuring optimal material flow while aggressively minimizing raw material wastage and spillage.

4. B2B Quality Control & Compliance

Ensure that all processed coal and manufactured briquettes strictly meet customer specifications, specifically monitoring Gross Calorific Value (GCV), Ash Percentage, and Moisture Content.
Collaborate with the on-site laboratory to review sample test results and make real-time operational adjustments to the washing or mixing processes.
Strictly enforce all industrial safety, DGMS (where applicable), and environmental protocols across the shop floor to maintain a zero-incident work environment.

Required Qualifications & Skills

Education: B.Tech / B.E. or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mineral Processing, or Production Industrial Engineering.
Experience: 2 to 5 years of hands-on experience in a heavy industrial setup—ideally within coal washeries, mineral beneficiation plants, cement plants, briquetting facilities, or steel/sponge iron plants.
Technical Knowledge:
Strong familiarity with heavy bulk-material handling systems (conveyors, crushers, screens, feeders).
Basic understanding of fuel chemistry (proximate analysis concepts like ash, moisture, volatile matter).
Soft Skills: Rugged leadership capable of managing ground-level blue-collar workers; quick problem-solving skills under pressure; comfortable working in field environments (dust, noise, fluctuating weather).
