System Engineer – L2/L3

Experience:

2+ Years

Responsibilities:

Provide L2/L3 support for Linux/Windows servers, cloud, networking, and enterprise apps.
Troubleshoot incidents, outages, and performance issues in production/staging.
Manage monitoring, alerting, and backup strategies.
Perform patching, upgrades, and capacity planning.
Automate tasks using Bash, Python, or Ansible.
Collaborate with DevOps and SRE teams on IaC and CI/CD.
Support cloud services (AWS/GCP/Azure: EC2, RDS, S3, IAM, VPC, etc.).
Maintain system/security compliance as per standards.
Document SOPs, RCA reports, and change logs.

Required Skills & Experience:

Strong Linux administration (CentOS/Ubuntu/Debian).
Hands-on with AWS or GCP (basic services).
Exposure to Docker/Kubernetes and monitoring tools.
Shell scripting with knowledge of Python/Ansible/Terraform.
Familiar with Nginx/Apache, MySQL/PostgreSQL, and queue services.
Strong networking fundamentals (DNS, VPN, firewall rules).
Knowledge of CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI) and Git.

Preferred:
Certifications (AWS, RHCE, etc.).
Experience in 24x7 managed service environments.
