Full job description

We are looking for a Desktop Support Engineer L1 to provide first-level technical support for desktops, laptops, printers, and IT peripherals. The candidate will be responsible for installing, configuring, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, and ensuring smooth day-to-day IT operations.

Key Responsibilities

Install, configure, and troubleshoot desktops, laptops, printers, and peripherals.
Install and support Windows 10/11 operating systems.
Configure Microsoft Office, Outlook, Teams, and other business applications.
Handle user account creation, password resets, and Active Directory support.
Provide remote and onsite technical support to end users.
Troubleshoot hardware, software, network, and printer-related issues.
Install and configure antivirus software and security updates.
Perform OS installation, formatting, imaging, and system upgrades.
Configure email clients and troubleshoot Outlook issues.
Assist users with LAN, Wi-Fi, VPN, and basic network connectivity issues.
Maintain IT asset inventory and documentation.
Escalate unresolved issues to L2/L3 support teams.
Ensure incidents and service requests are resolved within SLA.

Required Skills

Knowledge of Windows 10/11.
Basic knowledge of Active Directory and Microsoft 365.
Understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, LAN, and Wi-Fi.
Experience in desktop, laptop, printer, and peripheral troubleshooting.
Basic hardware installation and replacement.
Good communication and customer support skills.
Strong troubleshooting and analytical abilities.

Preferred Skills

Basic knowledge of Microsoft Intune or SCCM.
Familiarity with ITSM tools such as ServiceNow, ManageEngine, or Jira.
Basic understanding of network troubleshooting.
Experience with remote support tools such as AnyDesk or TeamViewer.

Qualifications

Diploma / B.Tech / B.E. / BCA / B.Sc (IT/Computer Science) or equivalent.

Experience

0–2 years of experience in Desktop Support or IT Support.
Freshers with strong technical knowledge are encouraged to apply.

Preferred Candidate Profile

Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Customer-focused attitude.
Ability to work in rotational shifts if required.
Immediate joiners are preferred.

Salary: As per company standards and candidate experience.

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹18,000.00 per month
