Quality Control (QC) Intern

Location: KINFRA A Block, Nadukani, Kannur, Kerala

Baretos International Private Limited is a fast-growing snack manufacturing company producing high-quality cheese balls, corn puffs, flavoured banana chips and flavoured potato chips. We are committed to manufacturing safe, hygienic and delicious products that meet the highest quality standards.

Job Position Summary

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Quality Control (QC) Intern to join our Quality Department. The intern will assist in monitoring product quality, maintaining food safety standards, conducting routine inspections and supporting quality assurance activities throughout the manufacturing process.

Key Responsibilities

Assist in inspecting raw materials, packaging materials and finished products.
Perform routine quality checks during production.
Monitor critical quality parameters such as weight, size, texture, colour, seasoning, moisture and appearance.
Verify compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Good Hygiene Practices (GHP) and company SOPs.
Record inspection and test results accurately in quality records.
Collect and label product samples for quality evaluation and retention.
Report quality deviations or non-conformities to the QC Executive or Production Supervisor.
Assist in maintaining cleanliness and hygiene in production and quality areas.
Support implementation of food safety systems such as HACCP and FSSAI requirements.
Assist in calibration and proper handling of laboratory and measuring equipment.
Participate in internal audits, quality improvement activities and root cause investigations.
Ensure proper documentation of daily QC activities.
Follow all company safety rules and use personal protective equipment (PPE).

Eligibility

Diploma, B.Sc., M.Sc., B.Tech., or M.Tech in Food Technology, Food Science, Dairy Technology, Microbiology, Biotechnology or a related field.
Final-year students or fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
Basic understanding of food quality and food safety principles is preferred.

Required Skills

Strong attention to detail.
Good observation and analytical skills.
Basic knowledge of food hygiene and quality control.
Ability to maintain accurate records and documentation.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
Willingness to work in a manufacturing environment.
Basic computer skills (MS Excel and MS Word).
