Job Title: Head Pastry Chef / Bakery Chef

Reports To: Executive Chef / General Manager

Job Summary

We are seeking a talented and experienced Head Pastry Chef / Bakery Chef to lead our pastry and bakery operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating high-quality desserts, pastries, and baked goods, managing daily production, and ensuring consistency, creativity, and excellence in all offerings.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and manage all pastry and bakery operations within the kitchen
Develop and update dessert, pastry, and bakery menus in line with the restaurant concept
Prepare and oversee the production of cakes, pastries, breads, and desserts
Ensure consistency in taste, presentation, and quality of all items
Supervise, train, and mentor junior pastry staff and bakers
Monitor inventory, control food costs, and minimize waste
Maintain hygiene, sanitation, and food safety standards at all times
Coordinate with the kitchen team for smooth daily operations
Manage ordering of ingredients and maintain supplier relationships
Stay updated with industry trends and introduce new ideas and techniques

Requirements & Qualifications

Proven experience as a Head Pastry Chef, Pastry Chef, or Bakery Chef
Strong knowledge of baking techniques, pastry arts, and dessert presentation
Leadership and team management skills
Creativity and attention to detail
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards
Culinary degree or relevant certification is preferred
