·Supports and monitors production activities across fabrication, mechanical assembly, and electrical/electronics assembly operations.·Ensures smooth execution of production processes as per drawings, specifications, and production plans.·Coordinates with production, quality, maintenance, and stores teams to achieve production targets.·Monitors productivity, quality, and process efficiency on the shop floor.·Maintains production records, reports, non-conformity records, and corrective action documentation.·Supports lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.
Job Summary:
·We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Production Engineer to support production operations in our fabrication and assembly plant. The candidate will be responsible for monitoring production activities, improving process efficiency, coordinating with shop-floor teams, and ensuring timely completion of jobs while maintaining quality and safety standards. The ideal candidate should possess strong technical knowledge, problem-solving skills, and experience in production documentation, non-conformity handling, and corrective action tracking. Certification in Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma Green Belt will be considered an added advantage.
Job Responsibilities:
·Production Planning & Execution:
·Monitor daily production activities and ensure jobs are completed as per schedules.·Coordinate with supervisors and operators to achieve production targets.·Assist in planning manpower, machines, and materials for smooth workflow.
·Shop-floor Coordination:
·Support fabrication, mechanical assembly, and electrical/electronics assembly operations.·Track job progress and ensure proper workflow between departments.·Coordinate with quality, maintenance, and stores teams for uninterrupted production.
·Drawing & Process Understanding:
·Read and interpret fabrication drawings, assembly drawings, and electrical schematics.·Ensure production activities are carried out as per technical specifications and approved drawings.·Assist in preparing or updating process-related documents if required.
·Production Monitoring & Process Improvement:
·Monitor productivity, cycle time, machine utilization, and process efficiency.·Identify production bottlenecks and support corrective actions.·Participate in lean manufacturing, Kaizen, 5S, and continuous improvement initiatives.·Assist in reducing wastage, rework, and production downtime.
·Quality Control & Non-Conformity Management:
·Ensure production activities comply with quality standards and procedures.·Identify, record, and report non-conformities observed during production activities.·Maintain Non-Conformity Reports (NCR) and related documentation.·Coordinate with quality and production teams for root cause analysis and corrective actions.·Monitor implementation and closure of corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
·Corrective Action & Documentation:
·Maintain records of corrective actions, process deviations, and improvement measures.·Support implementation of preventive actions to avoid recurrence of issues.·Prepare reports related to production quality issues and corrective action status.
·MIS & Reporting:
·Prepare daily production reports and work progress updates.·Maintain records of production output, downtime, rejection, rework, and delays.·Update production data in Excel or ERP systems.·Present production status and KPI reports to supervisors or management.
·Material & Resource Coordination:
·Coordinate with stores for material availability and tracking.·Monitor material usage and minimize wastage during production.
·Safety & Workplace Management:
·Ensure adherence to safety standards, PPE usage, and company procedures.·Maintain proper housekeeping and support 5S implementation on the shop floor.
·Troubleshooting & Support:
·Assist in resolving production and process-related issues.·Coordinate with maintenance team during machine breakdowns affecting production.
·Documentation & Compliance:
·Maintain production records, checklists, process documents, and audit-related records.·Ensure compliance with company procedures, quality standards, and audit requirements.
·Other Duties:
·Support new product development, process setup, and trial production activities when required.·Assist in dispatch coordination and production handover activities.
Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹26,000.00 per month
