Position: Lab In-Charge / Lab Technician In-Charge
Location: Umayanalloor, Kollam (1.5 km from NH66)
Eligibility Criteria
- Preferred: Atleast 3 years of experience as Lab In Charge
- Active registration with the Paramedical Council is mandatory
- Background in a Hospital Lab or the Central Testing Unit of a Diagnostic Chain will be given strong preference
- Previous service as a Lab In-Charge is mandatory (non-negotiable)
About the Role This role is centred on Clinical Pathology. The selected candidate will take complete charge of the laboratory's daily functioning and will be accountable for testing accuracy, team supervision, staff training, B2B coordination, satellite branch oversight, and overall lab governance.
Primary Duties
- Supervise and perform routine diagnostic investigations.
- Ensure strict adherence to SOPs, quality control, and regulatory standards across all lab activities
- Maintain audit-ready records of all lab data in the ERP system
- Oversee outsourced tests end-to-end — sample dispatch, tracking, and timely report delivery via external reference labs
- Handle and oversee all B2B activities, including tie-ups with referring clinics, doctors, hospitals, and corporate clients
- Review and finalise test pricing, benchmark against market rates, and recommend revisions to Management
- Oversee technical operations and departmental finances of satellite branches and sample collection centres
- Develop and deliver a structured, phase-by-phase training curriculum for trainees, along with periodic team training sessions
- Coordinate with OP doctors and other department heads to ensure service excellence and contribute to strategies for revenue, business growth, and improved customer experience
- Monitor inventory, consumables, and billing-related lab entries
- Enforce lab hygiene, biosafety, equipment care, and professional conduct standards
- Report operational issues, deviations, or staff concerns to Management on time
Hierarchy
- Direct reporting to the Branch Manager
- Holds supervisory authority over all lab personnel and satellite branch lab staff

Who We Are A trusted Outpatient Clinic with a service legacy of more than two decades, comprising:
- 4 resident OP doctors
- A workforce of approximately 30 staff across Operational Departments.
- An on-site Clinical Laboratory supporting OP consultations
Work Schedule
- Morning Shift: 6:30 AM to 2:30 PM
- Mid Day Shift: 12:00PM to 8:00 PM
- Evening Shift: 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM
