Full job description

Coordinating with doctors and health care professional in planning, designing, development, acquiring and advanced technology implementations and functioning of Bio-Medical equipment
Conducting case study on Engineering based faults analysis, energy conservation.
Coordinating with company servicing engineers in installation, servicing and negotiating in acquiring new technology and equipments.
Implementing and adhering to all norms and standards of National and International Organization on Clinical engineering.
Repairing, servicing, trouble shooting of all hospitals based equipments and taking care of all the engineering aspects of hospital.
Planning, performing planned preventive maintenance, testing, calibrating and verification of all equipments.
Taking steps to prevent malfunctioning of biomedical equipment.
Assist in planning and procurement of spare parts required for BM/PM PPM.
Maintaining work-order, inventory of equipment, preventive maintenance schedule and technician time.
Attending break down calls, technical crisis/emergency.
Educating by taking regular classes to nurses, other allied healthcare professionals on hospital engineering, safety and creating awareness on norms.
Ensuring compliance with accreditation standards.
Provide management of equipment performance and service vendors to maintain the highest standard of patient care. When products or services are found unsatisfactory, HOD is responsible for expediting solutions, including replacement of equipment or terminating service agreement.
Determining the optional lifespan of biomedical equipment and its aging, out-modeled and inappropriately costly instrumentation is retired in accordance with a rational equipment replacement policy.
Reviewing maintenance contract in terms of quality and responsiveness to make decision on modification of service contract terms.
