Full job description

We are seeking a qualified and detail-oriented Pharmacist to join our growing team supporting a US-based healthcare practice. The successful candidate will work closely with healthcare providers and clinical staff to manage medication-related processes, ensure accurate prescription handling, and support patient care through electronic medical record (EMR) systems.

This is an excellent opportunity for pharmacists interested in gaining exposure to the US healthcare system while working in a professional and technology-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities

Process and transmit medication prescriptions through EMR systems.
Perform medication reconciliation by reviewing and verifying patients' medication histories.
Review prescriptions for accuracy, completeness, and appropriateness.
Coordinate with physicians, nurses, and healthcare staff regarding medication-related matters.
Update and maintain accurate patient medication records.
Assist with prescription renewals, refill requests, and prior authorization workflows as required.
Ensure compliance with established pharmacy and healthcare protocols.
Support quality assurance initiatives and medication safety programs.
Handle pharmacy-related administrative and clinical documentation.
Participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) from a recognized institution.
Valid pharmacist license/registration preferred.
Experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR/EHR) systems is preferred.
Strong understanding of pharmacology, medication management, and pharmacy workflows.
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Prior experience supporting US healthcare operations is an advantage but not mandatory.
