This role is suited to someone who combines exceptional end-user support with strong technical capability, professionalism and a proactive approach to stakeholder engagement. The successful candidate will support senior stakeholders, front-office users and business-critical environments while also contributing to automation, modern endpoint management and continuous improvement across the Modern Workplace environment.

Key Responsibilities
End-User and VIP Support
Deliver high-touch, relationship-led technology support to Investec colleagues, including senior stakeholders, front-office users and other business-critical teams.
Act as a trusted technology advisor by providing proactive support across devices, meeting rooms, collaboration tools and workplace technology.
Support high-impact events such as board meetings, investor presentations and market-sensitive business activity.
Provide desktop, hardware, mobile, AV/VC, print, wireless, desk move, network and telecom support as required.
Assist users with video conferencing setup for internal meetings, external meetings and client-facing sessions.
Modern Workplace and Endpoint Management
Manage, monitor, and optimise endpoints using 1E (DEX) or endpoint monitoring tools or Microsoft Intune across Windows 11 and macOS devices.
Demonstrate hands-on experience with Microsoft Copilot Premium, including using Copilot capabilities to support productivity, workflow improvement and agent creation.
Support Microsoft 365 / Office 365 services and collaboration platforms.
Support Azure AD / Entra ID, conditional access, device compliance and Zero Trust-aligned endpoint controls.
Support Citrix, Azure Virtual Desktop and Windows 365 environments.
Use endpoint telemetry and performance trends to identify recurring issues and improve the digital employee experience.
Develop PowerShell scripts and automation to reduce manual effort, improve efficiency and enable proactive remediation.
Incident, Request and Service Management
Own and manage incidents, service requests and escalations through the ITSM platform, ensuring SLAs and KPIs are met.
Use ServiceNow to manage tickets, track user requests and document hardware and application support activity.
Work closely with the Service Desk, global desktop support teams and Workplace Services teams to resolve issues and drive root cause analysis.
Support applications through defined service channels and follow SLAs for Service Request, Incident, Release and Change Management.
Create high-quality documentation, reusable fixes and knowledge articles to support knowledge management and continuous improvement.
Inventory, Asset and Vendor Management
Manage EUC IT assets for Investec India and maintain accurate inventory records in ServiceNow.
Configure and support equipment such as desktops, laptops, smartphones, dealerboards, desk phones, video conferencing devices and printers.
Manage local relationships with Infrastructure and Communications vendors, including datacentres, telephony links, networking links, Exchange dedicated links, EUC hardware and call recording providers.
Coordinate with vendors for application and hardware issues, infrastructure initiatives, escalations and service delivery requirements.
Process vendor invoices and coordinate with the Accounts team for payment follow-up where required.
Trade Floor and Business-Critical Support
Perform Start of Day and End of Day activities to ensure smooth operation of trading systems when required.
Provide real-time desktop and application support to traders during trading hours.
Support quick resolution of trade-impacting desktop, connectivity, application, dealerboard or call recording issues.
Coordinate closely with Application Support, Infrastructure, Network and global teams during trading incidents.
Support and maintain Exchange trading terminals, including NEAT and NEAT Plus.
Support financial platforms such as Bloomberg, FactSet, Reuters / Refinitiv or Excel pricing tools, particularly where stability, responsiveness and sensitivity are critical.
Ensure minimal disruption to trading operations through proactive monitoring and rapid response.
Cross-Functional Coordination and Continuous Improvement
Coordinate with IT disciplines including Development, Networks, Databases, Servers, Infrastructure and Application Support for issue resolution and service delivery.
Participate in cross-functional projects involving multiple technologies and work groups.
Support Joiner, Mover and Leaver processes from a technology and access readiness perspective.
Contribute to continuous service improvement through automation, root cause analysis, documentation and reusable support solutions.
Skills and Experience Required
Strong experience in Modern Workplace, End User Compute or digital workplace engineering, ideally within financial services or another regulated environment.
Extensive experience providing deskside, desktop, onsite and remote end-user support.
Strong PowerShell scripting capability and experience using automation to improve operational efficiency.
Hands-on experience managing endpoints through Microsoft Intune / Endpoint Manager.
Experience supporting Windows 11 and macOS device environments.
Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365 / Office 365 services.
Experience with Azure AD / Entra ID, conditional access and device compliance.
Familiarity with Citrix, Azure Virtual Desktop or Windows 365.
Good understanding of ITIL / ITSM best practice, including incident, request, change and release management.
Strong troubleshooting, analytical and problem-solving skills.
Experience supporting hybrid cloud environments.
Excellent stakeholder engagement, communication and relationship management skills.
Demonstrable VIP support experience, particularly with senior stakeholders or front-office users.
Desirable Qualifications and Experience
ITIL Foundation certification.
AZ-900: Microsoft Azure Fundamentals.
AI-900: Microsoft Azure AI Fundamentals.
Experience with automation frameworks.
Exposure to Zero Trust security models.
Experience contributing to Knowledge Management and reusable support solutions.
