Nurse Job Description

Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) / Staff Nurse

Job Summary:
Provide direct patient care, monitor health conditions, administer medications and treatments, and collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure high-quality patient care and safety.

Key Responsibilities

Assess, monitor, and record patients' health status and vital signs.
Administer medications, injections, and treatments as prescribed.
Assist physicians and other healthcare professionals during examinations and procedures.
Develop, implement, and evaluate patient care plans.
Educate patients and families about health conditions, treatments, and preventive care.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records.
Respond to medical emergencies and provide immediate care when needed.
Monitor patient progress and report changes to the healthcare team.
Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, safety protocols, and infection-control standards.
Provide emotional support and compassionate care to patients and families.

Required Qualifications

Diploma, Associate Degree, or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (B.Sc. Nursing), depending on role requirements.
Valid nursing license/registration with the relevant nursing council or regulatory authority.
Knowledge of nursing practices, patient care standards, and medical terminology.
Strong clinical and critical-thinking skills.
