Job Summary:
The Trainer is responsible for developing, delivering, and evaluating training programs for logistics personnel across various field locations. This role ensures that all logistics team members, including but not limited to warehouse staff, accounts team, drivers, dispatchers, and inventory controllers, are proficient in company policies, procedures, systems, and best practices. The trainer will travel frequently to different sites to provide hands-on training, identify skill gaps, and implement continuous improvement initiatives to optimize logistics operations and enhance efficiency, safety, and compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and update comprehensive training materials, modules, and job aids for all logistics functions (e.g., warehousing, inventory management, transportation, last-mile delivery).
- Conduct engaging and effective training sessions in various formats, including classroom instruction, on-the-job training (OJT), workshops, and virtual sessions.
- Tailor training content and delivery methods to meet the specific needs of different roles and learning styles within the logistics team.
- Provide hands-on coaching and mentorship to ensure practical application of learned skills.
- Collaborate with logistics managers and supervisors to identify training needs and skill gaps within the field teams.
- Conduct regular assessments of current operational practices to pinpoint areas for improvement and training intervention.
- Analyze performance data and feedback to determine the effectiveness of existing training programs.
- Ensure all logistics personnel are thoroughly trained on and adhere to company policies, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and industry best practices.
- Train teams on the proper use of warehouse management systems (WMS), transportation management systems (TMS), and other relevant software and equipment.
- Develop and implement methods to assess the effectiveness of training, including pre- and post-training evaluations, practical assessments, and observation.
- Track and report on training participation, progress, and outcomes to management.
- Provide constructive feedback to trainees and their supervisors regarding performance and areas for development.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, new technologies, and changes in regulations relevant to logistics.
- Recommend and implement improvements to training programs and logistics processes based on field observations and feedback.
- Promote a culture of continuous learning and operational excellence.
- Work closely with operations, HR, Sales, Accounts, and other departments to align training initiatives with overall business objectives.
- Communicate effectively with all levels of staff, from front-line employees to senior management.
- Act as a resource and subject matter expert for logistics operations in the field.
- Frequent travel to various field locations is required.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Education, or a related field.
- 2 - 3 years of experience in logistics operations.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a training, coaching, or instructional design role, preferably in a field-based capacity.
- Proven ability to design, develop, and deliver engaging and effective training programs.
- Excellent presentation, facilitation, and communication skills (written and verbal).
- Proficiency in one regional language and excellent communication skills in English.
- Proficiency in using logistics management systems (WMS, TMS) and standard office software (MS Office Suite, especially PowerPoint).
- Ability to create videos and other training materials independently.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and adapt to changing environments.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport with diverse teams.

Pay: Up to ₹30,000.00 per month
