Full job description

Job Title: Production Supervisor – CNC Machine Manufacturing

Location: Mysore, Karnataka

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Production Supervisor to oversee daily shop-floor operations and ensure the timely and efficient production of CNC machines and components. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in manufacturing, assembly, machining operations, and workforce management, with a strong focus on quality, productivity, and safety.

Key Responsibilities

Supervise daily production activities and ensure adherence to production schedules.
Monitor CNC machine assembly, machining, and testing operations to achieve production targets.
Allocate manpower effectively and ensure optimal utilization of resources.
Coordinate with Production Planning, Stores, Purchase, Quality, Design, and Service departments for smooth workflow.
Monitor VMC, VTL, milling, turning, drilling, and assembly activities on the shop floor.
Ensure compliance with quality standards, work instructions, and safety procedures.
Track production output, machine utilization, and productivity metrics.
Identify bottlenecks and implement corrective actions to improve efficiency.
Train and guide operators, technicians, and trainees on manufacturing best practices.
Maintain production records, daily reports, and MIS documentation.
Support continuous improvement initiatives, 5S activities, and lean manufacturing practices.

Qualifications & Experience

Diploma / BE in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, or related disciplines.
2–5+ years of experience in manufacturing, machine building, CNC machine tools, or engineering industries.
Experience supervising shop-floor operations and production teams.
Knowledge of CNC machine assembly, machining processes, and manufacturing workflows.
Ability to read engineering drawings and understand production documentation.

Preferred Skills

Strong leadership and team management abilities.
Knowledge of VMC, VTL, turning, milling, drilling, and assembly operations.
Familiarity with production planning, quality systems, and safety standards.
Experience with ERP/SAP systems and production reporting.
Good communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
