Full job description

Job Summary

The Special Educator is responsible for providing individualized education and support to students with disabilities. This role involves developing and implementing specialized instructional programs, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team, and ensuring compliance with educational standards and regulations.

Key Responsibilities

Individualized Education Plans (IEPs):
Develop and implement IEPs tailored to meet the unique needs of each student.
Conduct assessments to identify students' strengths and areas of need.
Monitor and document students' progress towards IEP goals.
Instructional Support:
Adapt and modify curriculum and teaching methods to accommodate students' learning styles and abilities.
Provide direct instruction in academic subjects, as well as social, emotional, and life skills.
Utilize a variety of instructional techniques and technologies to enhance learning.
Collaboration and Communication:
Work closely with general education teachers, therapists, and other support staff to coordinate services for students.
Communicate regularly with parents and guardians about students' progress and any concerns.
Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings, parent-teacher conferences, and professional development activities.
Behavior Management:
Develop and implement behavior intervention plans to address specific behavioral challenges.
Use positive behavior supports and interventions to create a safe and supportive learning environment.
Train and support paraprofessionals and other staff in behavior management techniques.
Compliance and Documentation:
Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations regarding special education.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, including IEPs, progress reports, and other required documentation.
Stay informed about current trends and best practices in special education.

Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Special Education or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
Certification: Valid Degree , Certification and RCI registration is must.

Pay: From ₹18,000.00 per month

Work Location: Remote
