About The Ad Expert

The Ad Expert is a creative advertising and marketing company focused on producing high-impact digital content, brand campaigns, social media creatives, product shoots, corporate videos, reels, and advertisements that help brands stand out and grow.

Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled and creative Cinematographer who can transform concepts and scripts into visually engaging content. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of camera operation, lighting, composition, storytelling, and commercial video production.

The role requires someone who can independently handle shoots while also collaborating closely with directors, video editors, designers, social media teams, and clients.

Key Responsibilities

Plan and execute professional video shoots for advertisements, reels, brand films, corporate videos, product shoots, interviews, podcasts, and social media content.
Operate professional DSLR, mirrorless, and cinema cameras.
Create visually strong compositions using framing, camera angles, movements, and depth.
Set up and manage professional lighting for indoor and outdoor shoots.
Work with gimbals, tripods, sliders, handheld rigs, and other camera-support equipment.
Understand scripts, storyboards, shot lists, and creative briefs before production.
Coordinate with the creative team to achieve the required visual style and brand identity.
Capture high-quality footage suitable for Instagram, YouTube, Meta Ads, websites, and other digital platforms.
Shoot content in multiple formats including 9:16, 16:9, 1:1, and 4:5.
Maintain proper exposure, focus, white balance, frame rate, shutter speed, and camera profiles.
Assist with location scouting and planning camera and lighting requirements.
Organize and safely transfer footage after shoots.
Coordinate with editors regarding footage, color profiles, shot selection, and post-production requirements.
Maintain cameras, lenses, lighting equipment, batteries, memory cards, and production accessories.
Stay updated with cinematography techniques, advertising trends, social media formats, and production technology.

Required Skills

Strong knowledge of cinematography and visual storytelling.
Excellent understanding of camera settings and manual camera operation.
Strong knowledge of lighting techniques and light modifiers.
Experience with professional cameras such as Sony, Canon, Panasonic, Blackmagic, RED, or similar systems.
Knowledge of lenses, focal lengths, depth of field, and camera movement.
Experience shooting commercial and social media content.
Understanding of log profiles, frame rates, codecs, and basic color science.
Ability to work under tight production schedules.
Strong creative thinking and attention to detail.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to manage shoots independently when required.

Preferred Skills

Basic knowledge of Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, or Final Cut Pro.
Experience with product cinematography and studio lighting.
Experience shooting food, hospitality, fashion, real estate, corporate, and lifestyle content.
Drone operation experience is an advantage.
Knowledge of photography will be an added advantage.
Understanding of performance-ad creatives and short-form video production.

Qualification & Experience

Degree / Diploma in Cinematography, Film Production, Mass Media, Photography, Visual Communication, or a related field is preferred.
1–4 years of relevant professional experience preferred.
Fresh candidates with a strong portfolio and excellent technical skills may also apply.

Candidate Should Have

A strong showreel / cinematography portfolio.
Creative visual sense.
Ability to understand brand requirements.
Flexibility to work on indoor and outdoor shoots.
Willingness to travel for shoots when required.
Ability to handle multiple projects and changing production requirements.
