Full job description

Job Title: Accounts Assistant

Location: Pollachi / Udumalpet, Tamil Nadu
Salary: ₹18,000 – ₹20,000 per month (Based on qualification and experience)
Job Type: Full-time

Job Summary

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Accounts Assistant to support our Accounts Department in day-to-day accounting activities. The candidate should have basic accounting knowledge, computer proficiency, and a willingness to learn. Experience in manufacturing, quarry, construction, or related industries will be an added advantage.

Key ResponsibilitiesAccounting

Enter purchase, sales, receipt, payment, and journal vouchers in Tally Prime/ERP.
Maintain cash book, petty cash, and general ledger.
Assist in preparing bank reconciliation statements (BRS).
Verify supplier invoices and customer billing documents.
Maintain proper filing of accounting records and supporting documents.
Assist in preparing monthly financial reports and schedules.

Tax & Compliance

Assist in GST, TDS, PF, ESI, and Professional Tax documentation.
Reconcile purchase registers with GSTR-2B.
Maintain statutory records and compliance documents.
Support internal and statutory audits.

Accounts Receivable & Payable

Prepare customer outstanding statements.
Follow up with customers for collections.
Assist in processing vendor payments.
Reconcile customer and supplier accounts.

MIS & Reporting

Prepare daily cash reports and expense statements.
Update Excel-based MIS reports.
Assist the Accounts Manager in preparing financial reports.

Administrative Support

Maintain employee reimbursement records.
Organize accounting files and vouchers.
Coordinate with stores, production, dispatch, and weighbridge departments for documentation.
Perform other accounting and administrative duties assigned by management.

Required Qualifications

B.Com / M.Com / BBA (Finance) or equivalent.
Freshers or candidates with up to 2 years of experience may apply.

Required Skills

Basic knowledge of accounting principles.
Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and Outlook.
Knowledge of Tally Prime / Zoho or any accounting software.
Good numerical and analytical skills.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to learn quickly and work under deadlines.
