ROLE 1: ASSOCIATE – STRATEGIC RESEARCH, ADVISORY OPERATIONS AND OPPORTUNITY DEVELOPMENTROLE OBJECTIVE
This role is the backbone of the organization and is responsible for building the entire pipeline of business by identifying opportunities, researching incentives and approvals, identifying vendors and professionals, and preparing structured data required for execution and engagement.CORE RESPONSIBILITY
The most critical responsibility is identifying potential clients and opportunities. Without identifying the right clients and opportunities, no approvals, incentives, or funding work can be executed. This role is responsible for creating that pipeline.DETAILED SCOPE OF WORKCLIENT IDENTIFICATION AND INITIAL OUTREACH
The candidate will identify companies that may require services such as government incentives, approvals, fundraising, IPO, mergers and acquisitions, or sale of business. Identification must be done through LinkedIn, SMERGERS platform, Google research, and structured tools such as ChatGPT. The candidate must understand the company’s business, requirement, and relevance. After identification, the candidate will initiate basic communication through LinkedIn or email by introducing the services of the organization. This is initial outreach and not final conversion.GOVERNMENT INCENTIVES AND APPROVAL RESEARCH
The candidate will continuously research and maintain updated information on government incentives, grants, subsidies, and schemes at both central and state levels. The candidate must understand eligibility, benefits, application process, timelines, and applicability across industries. This research is critical because the engagement team will use this information while meeting clients. The candidate must also understand approval processes such as DTCP, pollution control board approvals including consent to establish and consent to operate, fire approvals, environmental clearances, electricity and infrastructure approvals, and land-related permissions.VENDOR IDENTIFICATION AND MANAGEMENT
Since technical execution of approvals cannot always be done internally, the candidate must identify reliable vendors and professionals who can handle specific approvals and filings. This includes vendors for DTCP, pollution control, fire approvals, environmental approvals, and other government processes. The candidate must evaluate and maintain a list of trusted vendors and coordinate with them for execution.DIRECT EXECUTION CAPABILITY
Wherever possible, especially in online applications or simpler processes, the candidate is expected to learn and handle submissions directly without depending on vendors. This requires continuous learning and understanding of government portals and procedures.INVESTOR IDENTIFICATION AND MAPPING
The candidate will identify investors such as private equity firms, venture capital funds, high net worth individuals, and strategic investors. Identification must be structured based on sector focus, investment size, and relevance. A detailed investor database must be created and maintained.PROFESSIONAL IDENTIFICATION FOR TRANSACTIONS
The candidate must identify professionals such as financial model experts, pitch deck specialists, and transaction support professionals required for funding activities. These professionals will support preparation of financial and investment documents.DATA PREPARATION AND STRUCTURING
The candidate will prepare company profiles, opportunity summaries, investor briefs, and introductory communication drafts. All information must be structured and usable for the engagement team.TRACKING AND FOLLOW-UP
The candidate will maintain structured trackers for client pipeline, investor database, vendor list, and approval processes. Each activity must have clear status, next steps, and timelines. Continuous follow-up is mandatory.ANALYTICAL AND LEARNING EXPECTATION
The candidate must develop strong analytical thinking and continuously improve understanding of industries, government policies, approval processes, and investment ecosystem. Learning is continuous, and tools such as ChatGPT and online research must be actively used.
