Job Title: Head – Liaisoning

Industry: Real Estate / Commercial Construction
Department: Legal
Location: Baner, Pune
Reporting To: COO
Experience: 15+ Years (Minimum 8 years in senior liaisoning role)
Education: LLB / LLM

Position Overview

The Head – Liaisoning will lead the organization’s regulatory strategy, statutory approvals. The role is responsible for ensuring seamless coordination with government bodies, regulatory authorities, and municipal departments to secure all project-related permissions within defined timelines.

The position requires deep knowledge of real estate laws, strong government relations, and the ability to navigate complex regulatory frameworks while safeguarding the organization’s legal and compliance interests.

Key Responsibilities :

1. Strategic Government Relations

· Develop and execute the company’s government liaisoning and regulatory engagement strategy.

· Build and maintain strong professional relationships with government officials, regulatory authorities, and municipal departments.

· Represent the organization in policy discussions, regulatory meetings, and government forums related to the real estate sector.

· Act as the primary interface between the organization and government bodies.

2. Statutory Approvals & Regulatory Management

· Lead the process of securing all statutory approvals required for commercial real estate and construction projects.

Monitor compliance with local development regulations, land laws, and construction regulations.

3. Legal & Compliance Oversight

· Provide legal advisory on land acquisition, regulatory compliance, and statutory permissions.

· Ensure company operations comply with applicable laws.

· Coordinate with internal legal teams and external consultants on compliance matters.

4. Project Approval Management

· Work closely with project management, engineering, design, and legal teams to align regulatory approvals with project timelines.

· Identify and mitigate regulatory risks that may impact project schedules or costs.

· Ensure approvals are obtained in a structured and timely manner.

5. Stakeholder & Authority Management

Coordinate with consultants, and government liaison agencies to streamline approvals.

6. Documentation & Regulatory Intelligence

· Maintain proper documentation and records of all approvals, licenses, and regulatory communications.

· Track regulatory changes, government notifications, and policy updates affecting the real estate sector.

· Advise senior management on regulatory risks and opportunities.

Required Skills & Competencies

· Strong knowledge of real estate laws and regulatory frameworks

· Expertise in government liaisoning and statutory approvals

· Excellent negotiation and relationship management skills

· Strong legal drafting and documentation abilities

· Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines

· Strong communication and stakeholder management skills

· High level of integrity and confidentiality

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹100,000.00 - ₹125,000.00 per month
