Business Development Representative (Hybrid or Remote)

Vigilant is expanding its sales team with an immediate opening for a Business Development Representative. This individual will develop and qualify relationships with prospective new customers, present Vigilant Technologies, solutions, and services, and schedule/support introductory meetings with Vigilant sales representatives.

Additionally, you will be responsible for generating new business through outbound calls and social media referrals.

Duties and responsibilities:

Developing and maintaining relationships with prospects to achieve goals
Reaching out to and qualifying leads through outbound calling and social media
Maintaining, qualifying, and growing existing leads
Promoting the company products and services
Scheduling and hosting customer introduction meetings with Vigilant sales and following-up on a timely basis to develop opportunities.

Requirements and qualifications:

Minimum – Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field.
Minimum – 5-6 years of proven experience in a business development role, preferably in the Information Technology field.
B2B, Tech sales experience preferred
Experience with CRM software
Proficiency in MS Office
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Ability to deliver results
Strong time management and organizational skills
Ability to identify opportunities and to develop and implement effective sales, strategies.

This position may be remote, working East Coast hours or a hybrid role with 2 days in our Troy, MI office (preferred for initial training, planning and ramp-up)
