Experience
1–3 Years of relevant experience in VMC machine operation preferred.
Qualification
- ITI / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or relevant technical qualification.
- Candidates with relevant practical experience may also be considered.
Job Responsibilities
- Operate VMC (Vertical Machining Center) machines as per production requirements.
- Set and operate CNC/VMC machines according to drawings, process sheets, and work instructions.
- Read and understand engineering drawings, dimensions, tolerances, and machining symbols.
- Perform tool setting, workpiece loading/unloading, and tool offset adjustments.
- Check component dimensions using Vernier Caliper, Micrometer, Height Gauge, Bore Gauge, and other measuring instruments.
- Monitor machining operations and ensure components are produced as per required specifications.
- Make necessary offset corrections during production.
- Identify and report machine, tooling, or quality-related problems to the supervisor.
- Maintain proper production records and inspection reports.
- Ensure minimum rejection and maintain required production targets.
- Follow 5S, safety procedures, and company quality standards.
- Maintain cleanliness of the machine and work area.
- Perform basic machine maintenance and report maintenance requirements promptly.
Required Skills
- Good knowledge of VMC machine operation and CNC controls.
- Knowledge of tool selection, tool setting, offsets, and machining parameters.
- Ability to read engineering drawings.
- Knowledge of measuring instruments and quality inspection.
- Basic understanding of cutting tools and machining processes.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a production team.
- Willingness to work in shifts, if required.
Preferred
- Experience with Fanuc / Mitsubishi / Siemens CNC controls.
- Experience in a machine shop / engineering manufacturing company.
- Knowledge of drilling, milling, tapping, boring, facing, and contour operations.
Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹29,905.75 per month
