Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Solution Architect – Applications to design and deliver scalable, secure, and high-performing enterprise applications. The ideal candidate will bridge business requirements with technical solutions, define application architecture, and provide technical leadership throughout the software development lifecycle.
The Solution Architect will work closely with Product Managers, Business Analysts, Engineering teams, DevOps, QA, and stakeholders to create robust application solutions aligned with enterprise architecture standards and business objectives.
Key ResponsibilitiesSolution Architecture
- Design end-to-end application architectures for enterprise solutions.
- Define scalable, secure, and high-availability application architectures.
- Create architecture blueprints, solution diagrams, and technical documentation.
- Translate business requirements into technical solution designs.
- Ensure alignment with enterprise architecture principles and best practices.
- Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend appropriate frameworks, platforms, and tools.
Application Design & Development
- Guide development teams in implementing scalable and maintainable applications.
- Define application integration strategies using APIs, microservices, and event-driven architectures.
- Review technical designs and ensure adherence to architectural standards.
- Support application modernization and cloud-native development initiatives.
- Drive reusable components, coding standards, and development best practices.
Cloud & Infrastructure
- Design cloud-native solutions on Microsoft Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Define deployment architectures using containers and orchestration platforms.
- Collaborate with DevOps teams to implement CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
- Ensure disaster recovery, scalability, monitoring, and resilience strategies are implemented.
Technical Leadership
- Mentor developers and technical leads on architecture principles and design patterns.
- Conduct architecture reviews, code reviews, and technical governance sessions.
- Identify technical risks and recommend mitigation strategies.
- Drive innovation and continuous improvement across engineering teams.
Integration & Data Architecture
- Design RESTful APIs, GraphQL APIs, and enterprise integration solutions.
- Develop event-driven architectures using messaging platforms (Kafka, RabbitMQ, Azure Service Bus, etc.).
- Collaborate with database architects on relational and NoSQL database design.
- Ensure secure and efficient data exchange across enterprise systems.
Security & Compliance
- Incorporate security best practices into application architecture.
- Ensure compliance with enterprise security policies and industry standards.
- Implement authentication and authorization mechanisms (OAuth, SAML, JWT, OpenID Connect).
- Conduct architecture risk assessments and security reviews.
Performance & Quality
- Design applications for high availability, scalability, and performance.
- Optimize application performance and resource utilization.
- Promote automated testing, monitoring, logging, and observability practices.
- Ensure applications meet reliability, maintainability, and quality standards.
Stakeholder Collaboration
- Collaborate with Product Owners, Business Analysts, Engineering Managers, QA, DevOps, and business stakeholders.
- Participate in solution workshops, architecture discussions, and project planning.
- Present architectural recommendations and technical roadmaps to leadership.
- Support Agile delivery teams throughout project execution.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- 10+ years of experience in software development, application architecture, or solution architecture.
- Proven experience designing enterprise-scale application architectures.
- Strong knowledge of modern software architecture patterns.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
