Purchase Executive

Location: Kundli, Sonipat

Department: Purchase

Reports To: Purchase Manager

Job Overview:

The Purchase Executive will be responsible for managing the procurement process of goods and services, performing field-based tasks, and ensuring timely and cost-effective acquisition of products. This role includes negotiating with suppliers, managing inventory, and maintaining accurate records. As this is a field job, the candidate must have a personal bike for traveling to supplier locations. Petrol expenses will be reimbursed by the company. Freshers and candidates from all domains are encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities:

Procurement Management:
Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers based on quality, cost, and delivery performance.
Negotiate pricing, terms, and conditions with suppliers to secure favorable agreements.
Place and manage purchase orders, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of goods and services.
Field Operations:
Use personal bike to travel to supplier locations and conduct on-site inspections.
Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers through regular visits.
Address and resolve any issues related to supplier performance or product quality directly at the supplier’s site.
Inventory Control:
Monitor inventory levels and forecast future requirements to maintain optimal stock levels.
Conduct regular inventory audits and address any discrepancies.
Documentation and Reporting:
Maintain detailed records of all procurement activities, including order details, pricing, and supplier communications.
Prepare and present reports on purchasing activities, inventory status, and cost-saving initiatives.
Compliance and Process Improvement:
Ensure adherence to company policies, procedures, and relevant regulations.
Continuously assess and improve procurement processes to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.

Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field preferred. Candidates from all domains are encouraged to apply.
Experience: 0-4 years of experience in a purchasing or procurement role. Freshers are welcome.
Skills:
Strong negotiation and communication skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and purchasing software (e.g., ERP systems) is a plus.
Excellent organizational and analytical skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities.
Requirements:
Must have a personal bike for fieldwork.
Valid driver’s license.
Willingness to travel to supplier locations as needed.

Preferred Qualifications:

Certification in Purchasing or Supply Chain Management (e.g., CIPS, CPIM) is a plus.
Experience with international procurement and import/export regulations is advantageous but not required.

Working Conditions:

Field-based position in Kundli, Sonipat with regular travel to supplier locations.
Petrol expenses will be reimbursed by the company.
