About the Role
We are looking for a creative and skilled Painting Artist to join our art and craft manufacturing team. The candidate will be responsible for hand-painting dolls, miniatures, wooden products, MDF products, clay/terracotta products, decorative items, and customized craft products.
The ideal candidate should have a good eye for colour combinations, detailing, finishing, and traditional Indian/Tamil artwork.
Key Responsibilities
- Hand-paint art and craft products with neat and consistent finishing.
- Paint clay, terracotta, MDF, plywood, wood, plaster, resin, and other craft materials.
- Work on miniature models, dolls, decorative products, and customized craft pieces.
- Follow reference images, colour samples, and design specifications.
- Apply base coats, detailing, shading, highlights, and finishing coats.
- Maintain consistency when painting multiple pieces of the same product.
- Ensure clean edges and professional-quality finishing.
- Assist in developing new colour combinations and painting styles.
- Handle brushes, acrylic paints, primers, varnishes, and other painting materials properly.
- Work closely with the production and design teams.
- Complete assigned work within the required production timeline.
- Maintain cleanliness and proper organization of the painting workspace.
Required Skills
- Good knowledge of acrylic painting and hand painting techniques.
- Strong understanding of colour mixing and colour combinations.
- Good control over brushes and fine-detail painting.
- Ability to paint small and intricate designs neatly.
- Good patience and attention to detail.
- Ability to reproduce designs accurately from references.
- Ability to maintain consistent quality across multiple products.
- Creative approach to art and product finishing.
Preferred Experience
Experience in any of the following will be an advantage:
- Clay and terracotta painting
- Golu doll / traditional doll painting
- Miniature painting
- Wooden craft painting
- MDF craft painting
- Decorative product painting
- Traditional Indian artwork
- Folk-art painting
- Temple and cultural miniature painting
- Resin product painting
- Hand-painted home décor products
