Full job description

Business Development Manager

We are looking for a Business Development Manager who will take ownership of generating and converting business opportunities through digital marketing channels, seminars, events, and a business development team.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving the complete business development process — from generating leads through Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, Google and other digital platforms, to coordinating with the marketing team, guiding calling executives, conducting seminars, and monitoring lead-to-client conversion.

Key Responsibilities

1. Digital Business Development & Lead Generation

Drive business development through Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, Google and other digital platforms.
Identify suitable target audiences, markets and business opportunities.
Work closely with the Marketing Team to plan and execute campaigns for lead generation.
Review campaign performance and recommend improvements to increase lead quality and conversion.
Explore new digital channels and innovative methods for generating qualified business leads.

2. Lead Management & Conversion

Take ownership of the complete lead management process from lead generation to conversion.
Coordinate with calling executives and guide them on lead follow-up, communication and conversion strategies.
Monitor the status of leads and ensure timely follow-up.
Identify reasons for lead drop-offs and implement corrective actions.
Develop and maintain an effective lead follow-up and conversion process.

3. Team Leadership

Lead, guide and monitor the Business Development and Calling Team.
Set targets and performance expectations for team members.
Conduct regular review meetings and provide guidance to improve individual and team performance.
Train team members on lead handling, communication, follow-up and conversion.
Coordinate with different teams to ensure smooth execution of business development activities.

4. Seminars, Events & Business Activities

Plan, coordinate and execute seminars, workshops, webinars and business events for lead generation and brand building.
Coordinate with internal teams, speakers, marketing personnel and other stakeholders for successful execution of events.
Develop strategies to convert seminar and event participants into potential clients.
Track and report the leads and conversions generated through each event.

5. Business Development Reporting & Analytics

Prepare and present weekly Business Development Reports.
Track key performance indicators such as:
Number of leads generated
Lead source/channel
Cost per lead
Number of qualified leads
Calling and follow-up status
Conversion rate
Cost per conversion
Number and value of new clients
Performance of individual team members
Analyze data to identify trends, challenges and opportunities.
Provide actionable recommendations to management based on business development performance.

6. Coordination with Marketing Team

Work closely with the Marketing Team to align marketing campaigns with business development objectives.
Provide feedback on lead quality and campaign performance.
Coordinate content, campaigns, promotional activities and events based on business development requirements.
Ensure marketing-generated leads are properly followed up and converted by the business development team.

Requirements

Proven experience in Business Development, Sales, Digital Marketing or a similar role.
Experience in managing or leading a business development/sales/calling team.
Good understanding of Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, Google Ads and other digital lead-generation channels.
Strong understanding of lead generation, lead nurturing and conversion processes.
Experience in organizing or coordinating seminars, workshops, webinars or business events will be an advantage.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to understand lead cost, conversion cost, conversion rates and campaign performance.
Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation and interpersonal skills.
Strong team-management and coordination abilities.
Ability to work with targets, deadlines and performance metrics.
Good proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets and business reporting.
Ability to multitask, prioritize activities and take ownership of results.

Key Performance Expectations

The selected candidate will be expected to take ownership of business development results, not merely lead-generation activities.

Performance will be evaluated based on:

Quality and quantity of leads generated
Cost per lead
Lead-to-client conversion rate
Cost per conversion
Revenue generated through business development activities
Seminar/event-generated leads and conversions
Calling team productivity
Overall business development team performance

The role is ideal for a result-oriented professional who can connect digital marketing, lead generation, calling, seminars and sales conversion into one effective business development system.

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
