Purpose

Senior Executive / Executive - Recruitment is responsible for managing end-to-end recruitment activities for heavy engineering operations, ensuring timely hiring of qualified manpower including shop-floor workers, engineers, supervisors, and support staff in line with production, project, and business requirements.

Tasks / Roles and Responsibilities

1. Recruitment Management:Handle the complete recruitment life cycle from manpower requisition to candidate joining.

2. Sourcing & Screening : Source candidates through job portals, social media, consultants, references, campus drives, and local hiring channels. Manage bulk hiring drives for shop-floor / blue-collar workforce.

3. Interview Process Coordination: Schedule and coordinate interviews with department panels and candidates. Collect interview feedback and maintain evaluation records. Negotiate salary within approved budgets and company norms.

4. White-Collar & Blue-Collar Hiring : Manage recruitment forWhite-collar roles: Engineers, Supervisors, Executives, Managers. Blue-collar roles: Welders, Fitters, Machine Operators, Helpers, Technicians. Plan local sourcing strategies for contract and plant workforce. Ensure trade test coordination for shop-floor candidates.

5. Onboarding & Joining Formalities: Facilitate employee onboarding, induction, and orientation programs.

6. Vendor / Consultant Management: Coordinate with recruitment consultants, contractors, and staffing agencies.

7. Recruitment MIS & Compliance: Maintain recruitment reports: TAT, closures, source effectiveness.

8. Employee Engagement & Culture: Plan and implement employee engagement initiatives, welfare activities, and retention programs.

9. Performance Management System (PMS): Support HODs in performance evaluation and development planning.

10. Training & Development: Identify skill gaps and execute training programs (technical & behavioral).Monitor training effectiveness and competency development.

11. Grievance Handling : Address employee grievances through structured resolution mechanisms.

12. Contract Labor Management : Monitor contractor compliance, licensing, and statutory obligations.

13. Employee Communication : Drive transparent communication between management and workforce.

14. Integrated Management System: Ensure recruitment records, interview evaluations, and candidate documentation are maintained as per IMS / ISO document control and audit compliance requirements.

15. Continuous Improvement

Identify recruitment gaps and implement process improvements to enhance hiring quality and reduce TAT.

Job requirements (education, experience, additional qualifications)

Education:

1. Bachelors or Masters Degree/ MBA / MSW / PGDM in HR or equivalent

Experience:

1. 5+ years of recruitment experience in heavy engineering / manufacturing industry(Preferred)

Mandatory Skills:

1. Strong understanding End to end recruitment

2. Experience in bulk hiring and contractor coordination

3. Knowledge of labor laws related to recruitment

4. Proficiency in MS Excel and job portals

5. Good communication and coordination skills

Preferred Skills:

1. Exposure to plant/site recruitment

2. ERP / HRMS knowledge

3. Strong stakeholder management skills

4. IMS / ISO Documentation Exposure

1. Time-to-hire adherence
