Position: Production Leader ( Minimum 5 years of experience needed)

Position Overview
The Production Leader is responsible for the complete operations of the food processing unit. In a small company environment, this role is highly hands-on and requires ownership of production planning, material control, machine supervision, quality assurance, hygiene management, team development, cost control, new product implementation, and overall profitability improvement.
The role demands a practical leader who can work on the shop floor while also driving systems, discipline, and a strong performance culture.
Key Responsibilities
1. Production Planning & Execution
· Plan daily and weekly production based on confirmed orders.
· Ensure timely production and dispatch of products.
· Optimize manpower allocation for maximum productivity.
· Minimize production delays, rework, and wastage.
· Personally supervise critical production processes when required.
2. Material Planning & Control
· Plan raw material requirements based on production schedule.
· Coordinate with purchase and stores to avoid stock-outs or overstocking.
· Implement FIFO/FEFO practices.
· Monitor material yield and reduce losses.
3. Machine & Maintenance Management
· Ensure machines are properly operated and maintained.
· Coordinate preventive maintenance to reduce breakdowns.
· Monitor downtime and take corrective actions quickly.
· Improve overall machine efficiency and reliability.
4. Quality & Food Safety
· Ensure strict adherence to food safety and hygiene standards.
· Maintain compliance with FSSAI and other regulatory requirements.
· Reduce customer complaints and quality rejections.
· Conduct internal quality checks and root cause analysis.
5. Hygiene & Sanitation
· Maintain high standards of plant cleanliness and sanitation.
· Conduct daily hygiene inspections.
· Train workers on personal hygiene and safe food handling.
6. Cost Control & Profitability
· Monitor production cost per unit.
· Reduce wastage, rejections, and excess consumption.
· Improve productivity to increase margins.
· Support management in achieving profitability targets.
7. Reporting
· Submit daily production reports.
· Track and report yield, rejection, downtime, and efficiency.
· Maintain production and quality records.
8. Process Improvement
· Evaluate existing production processes and suggest improvements.
· Implement simple lean practices to reduce waste.
· Standardize work procedures.
9. New Product Development (NPD)
· Conduct production trials for new products.
· Ensure smooth scale-up from trial to regular production.
· Coordinate with sales and quality teams to meet customer expectations.
10. Team Leadership & Development
· Lead production supervisors and operators.
· Train workers on SOPs, safety, and quality standards.
· Develop second-line leaders for continuity and succession.
· Build a culture of discipline, accountability, and teamwork.
11. Customer & Stakeholder Focus
· Ensure products meet customer specifications consistently.
· Support customer audits and visits.
· Maintain safe and healthy working environment.
· Protect interests of employees, customers, suppliers, and company owners.

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
