A Senior Industrial Engineer is responsible for improving productivity, reducing costs, optimizing processes, and ensuring efficient use of resources across manufacturing or service operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze production processes to identify inefficiencies and recommend improvements.
- Design and implement lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Conduct time studies, work measurement, and process optimization.
- Develop standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions.
- Plan factory layouts and optimize material flow.
- Analyze production capacity and workforce requirements.
- Monitor and improve key performance indicators (KPIs) such as productivity, quality, and efficiency.
- Identify opportunities for cost reduction while maintaining product quality.
- Lead projects related to automation and digital transformation.
- Collaborate with production, quality, maintenance, supply chain, and engineering teams.
- Perform root cause analysis for operational issues and implement corrective actions.
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards.
- Mentor junior industrial engineers and provide technical guidance.
- Prepare reports, presentations, and recommendations for management.
- Support new product introductions and process validation.
