About Studio Underground
Studio Underground is a leading creative production house specializing in government documentaries, television commercials, promotional films, motion graphics, corporate films, and digital content. We work with various government departments and organizations to create impactful visual stories.

About the Role
We are looking for an experienced, hands-on Social Media Manager who can independently manage the complete social media function — from strategy and content planning to execution, SEO, publishing, analytics and reporting.

We are looking for someone who doesn't just coordinate with designers and writers, but can take ownership of the entire social media pipeline and deliver end-to-end .

Key Responsibilities

1. Social Media Strategy

Develop and execute social media strategies aligned with the company's brand and business goals.
Build platform-specific strategies for Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, LinkedIn and other relevant platforms .
Research trends, competitors, audience behaviour and emerging content formats.
Identify opportunities to increase reach, engagement, followers and brand visibility.

2. Content Planning & Calendar Management

Create and maintain a monthly and weekly content calendar .
Plan content themes, campaigns, reels, posts, stories, carousels, videos and other formats.
Develop content ideas based on current trends, relevant events and brand Requirements.
Ensure timely planning, execution and publishing of all content.
Coordinate internally with the production, creative, design and editing teams wherever required.

3. Content Creation & Execution

Take ownership of content from concept to final delivery and publishing .
Write or develop captions, hooks, post copy, CTAs and basic social media scripts.
Brief or guide designers, editors and other team members when additional creative support is required.
Ensure every piece of content is platform-appropriate, engaging and aligned with the brand.
Be comfortable working with video-first content, especially Reels, Shorts and YouTube content .

4. Social Media SEO

Handle SEO for social platforms from scratch , including:
- Keyword research
- Hashtag strategy
- YouTube SEO
- Titles and descriptions
- Keywords and tags
- Search-friendly captions
- Content optimisation
- Competitor and keyword analysis
Optimise existing content to improve organic discoverability and search rankings.

5. Publishing & Account Management

Independently manage day-to-day publishing across platforms.
Maintain consistency in posting schedules and brand communication.
Manage social media profiles, bios, highlights, links and other relevant profile elements.
Monitor comments, messages, mentions and audience interactions.
Track trending topics and respond quickly to relevant opportunities.

6. Analytics & Performance

Regularly monitor social media performance and audience insights.
Track KPIs such as reach, impressions, engagement, watch time, followers, CTR, leads and conversions .
Prepare weekly/monthly performance reports.
Analyse what is working and what is not, and continuously improve the content strategy.
Use data to make decisions rather than relying only on assumptions or trends.

7. Campaign Management

Plan and execute social media campaigns from ideation to reporting .
Develop campaign concepts, content calendars, posting plans and amplification strategies.
Coordinate with internal teams to ensure smooth campaign delivery.
Support paid social campaigns where required and understand basic ad performance metrics.

Requirements

What We Are Looking For

2–4+ years of hands-on experience in social media management.
Strong understanding of Instagram, Facebook, YouTube and LinkedIn .
Excellent understanding of Reels, Shorts, video content and current social media trends .
Strong knowledge of social media SEO and organic growth strategies .
Ability to independently create a content strategy and calendar from scratch .
Strong copywriting and content ideation skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
Strong communication and coordination skills.
Self-starter with strong ownership — should be able to take a requirement and independently take it to completion.
Experience in a creative agency, production house, media company or fast-paced environment will be an advantage.

Social media scheduling & publishing
Meta Business Suite
YouTube Studio
Google Analytics / Search Console
Keyword & SEO research
Social media analytics
Canva / basic design tools
Basic video editing tools will be an added advantage
Excel / Google Sheets for content calendars and reporting
