JOB DESCRIPTION

Position: Costing Manager

Location: Virar – Khaniwade Plant, Maharashtra
Experience Required: 12–14 Years
Industry Preference: Manufacturing Industry

Qualification: CMA / ICWA

Position Overview

We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Costing Manager from a manufacturing background to lead product costing, pricing, profitability analysis, and cost control functions at our Virar – Khaniwade plant. The ideal candidate should have strong exposure to handling a large product portfolio with more than 700 SKUs and possess expertise in manufacturing cost structures, variance analysis, budgeting, and profitability management.

The candidate should be capable of driving cost optimization initiatives, supporting strategic pricing decisions, and working closely with production, procurement, finance, and sales teams to improve overall business profitability.

Key Responsibilities

Handling end-to-end product costing activities for a large SKU portfolio (700+ SKUs).
Preparing and maintaining accurate BOM-based costing and standard costing for products.
Managing product pricing analysis and supporting management in pricing strategy decisions.
Conducting detailed profitability analysis across products, categories, and business segments.
Performing variance analysis related to material cost, labour cost, overheads, production, and inventory.
Monitoring manufacturing costs and identifying opportunities for cost reduction and process improvement.
Coordinating with production and procurement teams to analyse raw material consumption and cost impact.
Preparing monthly MIS reports related to costing, margins, and plant profitability.
Supporting budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities related to manufacturing operations.
Ensuring accuracy in inventory valuation, stock reconciliation, and cost allocation processes.
Developing and implementing cost control systems and internal controls.
Assisting management in decision-making through financial and commercial analysis.
Working closely with cross-functional teams for new product costing and commercial feasibility analysis.
Ensuring compliance with accounting standards, audit requirements, and company policies.

Candidate Profile

12–14 years of experience in costing and finance functions within a manufacturing company.
Strong exposure to handling high SKU volumes (700+ SKUs).
Hands-on experience in product costing, product pricing, profitability analysis, and variance analysis.
Good understanding of manufacturing operations, inventory management, and cost structures.
Experience in standard costing, BOM analysis, and plant finance activities.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
Proficiency in ERP systems and advanced MS Excel.
Ability to coordinate with multiple departments and drive cost optimization initiatives.
CMA / ICWA or equivalent qualification preferred.
