Logistics Specialist Lead
The Logistics Manager is a strategic leader responsible for overseeing and optimizing logistics operations across domestic and international markets. This role ensures efficient movement of goods, regulatory compliance, and cost-effective freight management. As a key leader within the supply chain function, the Logistics Manager drives operational excellence, fosters team development, and builds a high-performance culture that directly contributes to business growth and customer satisfaction.
PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS)
- Lead and inspire the logistics team to achieve operational goals and exceed performance expectations.
- Develop and implement logistics strategies that align with company objectives for cost, delivery, and service quality.
- Manage relationships with freight forwarders, carriers, and third-party logistics providers.
- Ensure compliance with international trade regulations, Letters of Credit, and contractual shipping terms.
- Oversee the preparation and accuracy of shipping documentation and commercial invoices.
- Monitor logistics KPIs and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Lead cross-functional teams to resolve logistics-related issues and implement corrective actions.
- Negotiate freight contracts and optimize transportation costs.
- Coordinate Returned Material Authorization (RMA) processes and ensure timely resolution.
- Maintain and update standard operating procedures and ensure team adherence.
- Conduct regular audits of freight bills and resolve discrepancies.
- Collaborate with warehouse managers to align shipping volumes and resource allocation.
- Champion sustainability and safety initiatives within logistics operations.
- Support transportation-related projects and strategic initiatives.
