Full job description

Job Summary

We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to manage day-to-day accounting and financial activities of the property. The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of accounting principles, Tally, GST, TDS, MS Excel, bank reconciliation, and financial reporting. The candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring timely statutory compliance, and supporting the management in financial planning and reporting.

Key Responsibilities

Maintain accurate and up-to-date books of accounts and financial records.
Handle day-to-day accounting transactions, including sales, purchases, receipts, payments, and journal entries.
Prepare and maintain invoices, vouchers, ledgers, and supporting documents.
Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable.
Perform regular bank and ledger reconciliations.
Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly financial reports as required by management.
Ensure proper recording and reconciliation of hotel revenue, cash collections, credit card transactions, and online payments.
Monitor and reconcile accounts related to OTAs, travel agents, corporate clients, and other business partners.
Assist in monthly closing of accounts and preparation of financial statements.
Ensure timely compliance with GST, TDS, and other applicable statutory requirements.
Prepare and file GST returns and assist with TDS calculations, payments, and returns.
Maintain proper documentation for audits and statutory compliance.
Coordinate with internal departments for financial and accounting-related matters.
Assist with payroll-related accounting and statutory deductions when required.
Monitor outstanding receivables and payables and follow up for timely settlements.
Support the Finance Manager / General Manager in budgeting, cost control, and financial analysis.
Maintain confidentiality and security of all financial and business information.
Perform any other accounting and finance-related duties assigned by management.

Required Qualifications & Skills

Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Minimum 2–6 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in the hospitality industry.
Strong working knowledge of Tally / Tally Prime.
Good knowledge of GST and TDS compliance.
Proficiency in MS Excel and other accounting tools.
Knowledge of bank reconciliation and ledger reconciliation.
Good understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
Strong analytical and numerical skills.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive financial information.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Experience

Previous experience in a hotel, resort, restaurant, or hospitality organization will be preferred.
Experience with hotel accounting systems and PMS/POS reconciliation will be an added advantage.
Candidates with practical knowledge of GST, TDS, Tally, Excel, and statutory compliance will be given preference.

Pay: ₹35,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
