Senior Sales / Business Development Executive Position Details

Job Locations: Kolkata

Job Type: Full-Time
Work Mode: Work From Home (WFH)
Working Days: Monday to Saturday
Working Hours: 10:00 AM to 6:30 PM
Salary: Up to ₹50,000 per month
Educational Qualification: Graduate in any relevant discipline
Age Preference: Below 35 years

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced and result-oriented Senior Sales / Business Development Executive to drive business growth across key markets.

The candidate will be responsible for new client acquisition, B2B business development, lead generation, client meetings, quotation management, negotiations, and achieving revenue targets.

The role requires a proactive sales professional who can independently identify business opportunities, develop new accounts, build strong client relationships, convert leads into business, and contribute towards overall business expansion.

Key Responsibilities

1. Business Development & Lead Generation

Generate new business through:
Telephone calls
Emails
LinkedIn
References
Market visits
Identify potential B2B customers and convert them into business opportunities.
Develop new accounts across relevant business segments.
Identify new business opportunities within the assigned territory.
Build and maintain a strong sales pipeline.

2. Client Acquisition & Relationship Management

Acquire new B2B customers.
Build and maintain strong relationships with both existing and new clients.
Understand customer requirements and identify suitable business opportunities.
Conduct client meetings and business development visits.
Maintain professional and long-term client relationships.
Focus on customer satisfaction and successful service delivery.

3. Quotation & Commercial Negotiation

Prepare quotations based on customer requirements.
Prepare commercial proposals for prospective clients.
Negotiate quotations and commercial terms with customers.
Follow up regularly on inquiries and quotations.
Convert leads, inquiries, and quotations into confirmed business.

4. Coordination With Internal Teams

Understand customer requirements accurately.
Coordinate with internal Operations and Documentation teams.
Coordinate with operations teams to ensure smooth service delivery.
Follow up internally to ensure customer requirements are handled appropriately.
Support customer satisfaction through effective coordination and communication.

5. Sales & Revenue Targets

Achieve assigned monthly sales/revenue targets.
Work towards achieving annual sales/revenue targets.
Maintain consistent business development activities.
Build and manage a healthy sales pipeline.
Focus on lead conversion and revenue generation.

6. Market Research & Business Expansion

Conduct market research to identify potential business opportunities.
Conduct competitor analysis.
Identify new customers and business segments.
Identify opportunities within the assigned territory.
Support management in business expansion initiatives.
Support strategic customer acquisition.

7. Sales Reporting

Prepare regular sales reports.
Provide sales and business-development updates to management.
Maintain appropriate sales pipeline information and follow-up status.
Track inquiries, quotations, opportunities, and conversions.

The candidate should possess:

Strong Sales & Business Development experience.

Strong lead generation and lead conversion abilities.
Experience in quotation management and commercial negotiation.

Ability to independently handle a territory/market.
Ability to work towards monthly and annual sales/revenue targets.

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate should be a result-oriented and experienced sales/business development professional with strong B2B sales and client acquisition capabilities.

The candidate should be comfortable with lead generation, client meetings, business development visits, quotation preparation, commercial negotiations, follow-ups, lead conversion, relationship management, sales reporting, and achieving revenue targets.

The candidate should also have the ability to independently handle a territory/market, identify new business opportunities, develop customer accounts, and coordinate effectively with internal teams to ensure smooth service delivery and customer satisfaction.

Additional Role Requirement

Although this is a Work From Home (WFH) position, the role includes client meetings and business development/market visits as required for generating and developing business.
