Marketing Manager
YOUR TASK AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead the strategic marketing function for upcoming launches in Stroke for Bayer India
- Plan and implement long range operating plans for portfolio as per organization objectives
- Collaborate with Regional, Global and Local cross functional teams for alignment as per brand objectives
- Provide guidance and collaborate with sales team members for successful execution of strategic roadmap
Job Summary / Principal Purpose of Role
Manage the team of Product Managers and oversee the development and monitoring marketing plans, strategies, and tactics to optimize performance of the assigned product portfolio, including to:
- Achieve the company’s objectives (sales, market share) for the assigned portfolio of products
- Develop and implement assigned products/brands marketing strategies, plans, campaigns, programs, and services with an aim to optimize achievement of sales and related performance objectives across the portfolio
- Focus on master brands, branding and marketing process improvements as needed to realize the biggest opportunities to lead and compete in target markets
- Collaborate with other team leaders and members to collectively achieve the short- and medium-term business growth of Bayer’s India business goals
- Optimize cross-functional platforms and processes regarding promotional programs and their effective implementation
- Directly manage and lead successful launches of future products and important marketing-related innovations
- Propose and lead the management of initiatives to sustain customer preference and patient engagement
- Manage the marketing dashboard, forecasts, budget goals and related KPIs for one’s portfolio and team, and for supporting programs and services
- Keep one’s marketing and related skills up to date, aligned with the Bayer’s India Marketing initiatives, while striving for continuous self-improvement
- Develop a highly efficient Product Management team through appropriate staffing, continuous couching, mentoring and proper training
- Ensure delivering annual business commitment and P&L goals for assigned brands and related products in the portfolio
The Job holder will be responsible for managing following activities:
- Gather customer and market insights to make informed decisions and Analyze customer insights, consumer trends, market analysis, and marketing best practices to build successful launch strategies
- Develop and execute Brand launch strategic plans for across different channels and segments
- Lead end to end execution of marketing programs and go-to-market strategies, leveraging internal support and driving collaboration
- Conceptualize and execute multi-channel Strategy and campaigns across segments, ensuring the alignment of positioning, communications and messaging across all channels including digital and non-digital.
- Prepare for new launch in India by driving launch excellence and building thought leader framework adoption in market.
WHO YOU ARE:
- B Pharm / Bachelor’s Degree in Science with MBA from a reputed institute.
- Minimum 8-10 years of Healthcare Marketing experience with at least 4-5 years of independently leading a brand portfolio preferable in Stroke/neurology
- Proficiency with digital marketing tools and Integrated Multi Channel Marketing approach.
- Strong project management, multitasking, and decision-making skills
- High on interpersonal, collaboration, communication and presentation skills
- Understanding of Indian pharma market, health care environment, customers, regulatory framework, New product launch trends, Sales force Excellence, Digital outreach models.

Job Requirements / Knowledge and Experience
Required:
- Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Pharma. Formal Marketing or Business qualification is essential
- Overall 8+ years of experience in Pharma sales / marketing out of which at least 5 years have been in Pharma Marketing holding senior position
- Proven track record on brand management, and new product areas, and successful launch
- Strong knowledge of pharma sales & marketing processes is essential
- Experience demonstrating on-target or above-target performance and achievement of sales objectives
- Significant experience working across Marketing and in close collaboration with other functions in brand planning and portfolio management
- Good interpersonal skills for effective working relationships with team members and other internal stakeholders
- Strong written and oral communication skills in English and Hindi
- Excellent analytical, planning & communication skills
- Efficiently and effectively works under pressure; can stay on task and on time
- Good people management skills
- Able to travel regionally, national and if required, internationally
Desired:
- Significant, successful sales management or Key Account Management experience
- Reasonable market research experience, agency management and MR training experience
- Basic understanding of analytical procedures, statistics and interpret clinical data
- Critical thinking, strong problem solving and decision-making skills
- Ability to develop and maintain effective relationships with internal and external customers
- Digital/omnichannel/multichannel marketing experience and record of success
- Pragmatic and results focused
- A self-starter, able to work independently in a demanding environment
- Assertive, collaborative & inspiring leadership style, especially useful in cross cultural working environment.
