Role: Social Media Strategy Consultant

Location: Remote / Chennai

Contract Duration: 4 - 6 Months

Consultant Fee: ₹50,000 – ₹75,000 total, based on experience and scope

HashHackCode is looking for an experienced Social Media Strategy Consultant to help strengthen our digital presence, improve brand storytelling, and build a clear social media growth direction for our inclusive tech education programs.

This role is ideal for someone who has strong experience in social media strategy, content planning, campaign direction, brand communication, and audience engagement. We are looking for a consultant who can bring clarity, structure, creativity, and execution guidance to our social media efforts.

If you enjoy building meaningful digital narratives, creating content strategies, and helping purpose-driven brands grow with consistency and impact, this role is for you.

Your roles and responsibilities:

Social Media Strategy: Develop a clear 4 to 6 month social media strategy aligned with HashHackCode’s mission, programs, audience, and growth goals.
Content Planning: Create monthly content calendars for platforms such as Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, and other relevant channels.
Brand Positioning: Strengthen HashHackCode’s social media voice, messaging, content pillars, and storytelling approach.
Campaign Direction: Plan and guide campaigns for programs, workshops, partnerships, learner stories, parent engagement, hiring, and brand awareness.
Content Ideas & Formats: Suggest engaging post formats, reels, carousels, stories, videos, captions, and campaign hooks.
Performance Review: Track social media performance and share insights on reach, engagement, audience response, and content improvement.
Creative Guidance: Work with the internal content, design, and video teams to guide creative direction and maintain brand consistency.
Community Engagement: Recommend ways to improve audience interaction, comments, DMs, collaborations, and community-building efforts.
Competitor & Trend Research: Study relevant education, parenting, inclusion, edtech, and social impact brands to identify useful trends and opportunities.
Team Mentorship: Guide the internal team on better content planning, posting practices, campaign execution, and performance tracking.

What we require:

Experience: Minimum 4+ years of experience in social media strategy, digital marketing, content marketing, brand communication, or a related role.
Strong portfolio: Proven experience managing or consulting for brands, campaigns, communities, or social media pages.
Strategic thinker: Ability to create structured plans, define content pillars, and connect social media work with business and brand goals.
Content sense: Strong understanding of captions, hooks, storytelling, reels, carousels, campaign messaging, and platform-specific content.
Analytical mindset: Ability to read basic social media insights and recommend practical improvements.
Creative direction: Ability to guide designers, video editors, and content creators with clear briefs and feedback.
Communication skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain ideas clearly.
Purpose alignment: A genuine interest in inclusive education, social impact, and making technology learning accessible to diverse learners.
Tool familiarity: Comfortable using tools such as Instagram Insights, Meta Business Suite, LinkedIn, YouTube Studio, Canva, Google Sheets, and basic analytics tools.

Expected outcomes:

By the end of the 4 to 6 month contract, the consultant is expected to help HashHackCode with:
A clear social media strategy and content direction.
Defined content pillars and brand messaging guidelines.
Monthly content calendars and campaign plans.
Improved consistency across social media platforms.
Better storytelling around learners, parents, programs, and impact.
Actionable performance reports and recommendations.
A stronger internal process for planning, creating, posting, and reviewing content.
