The HRIS Reporting Analyst builds and maintains the advanced reports, dashboards, and analytics solutions that HR and business leaders rely on to make decisions. Working across Workday and Power BI, this person turns business requirements into scalable reporting solutions - and digs into the data to surface insights that actually matter.
You will collaborate with teams across HR, Talent Acquisition, Compensation and Payroll. You will own report quality and data integrity, support Workday system health and security, and drive adoption of HR technology across the organization.
Reporting & Analytics
- Design, build, test, and maintain advanced Workday reports - Standard, Advanced, Matrix, Composite, Trending, and Worksheets.
- Build and maintain executive dashboards, scorecards, and workforce analytics using Workday and Power BI.
- Develop recurring and ad hoc reports for HR, Talent Acquisition, Compensation, Payroll, and business leadership.
- Translate business requirements into scalable Workday reporting and dashboard solutions.
- Analyze workforce data and present insights that support strategic decisions.
Business Partnership
- Meet with business leaders and HR stakeholders to gather requirements and recommend the right reporting approach.
- Identify opportunities to improve reporting capabilities and HR business processes.
- Serve as the go-to advisor on Workday reporting best practices and workforce analytics.
System Support & Continuous Improvement
- Support Workday enhancements, upgrades, and bi-annual release deployments.
- Participate in testing, change management, and user adoption programs.
- Diagnose and resolve reporting, security, and data issues - with a focus on root cause, not just the symptom.
- Monitor service desk tickets, spot trends, and recommend fixes that last.
- Act as an escalation point for complex Workday issues raised by end users.
- Find and pursue opportunities to automate manual reporting and improve existing processes.
Documentation & Process Management
- Document current-state and future-state business processes using clear process maps.
- Create and maintain reporting standards, procedures, and system documentation.
- Support governance work that promotes consistency, compliance, and operational discipline.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Analytics, Information Systems, or a related field.
- 3 to 5 years of experience supporting Workday HCM.
- At least 3 years of hands-on Workday Reporting and Analytics experience.
- Demonstrated ability to build Standard, Composite, Matrix, and Trending Reports, Dashboards, and Calculated Fields in Workday.
- Solid understanding of Workday Security - security groups, domains, and business process security.
- Advanced Excel skills: Pivot Tables, Power Query, complex formulas, dashboard development, and data analysis.
- Experience building interactive dashboards and visualizations in Microsoft Power BI.
- Proven ability to gather business requirements and convert them into working technical solutions.
- Comfortable working with large datasets and workforce analytics.
