About the Project
This project is a women empowerment and livelihood enhancement initiative focused on strengthening the socio-economic status of women through skill development, entrepreneurship promotion, financial inclusion, community institution strengthening, and sustainable livelihood opportunities.
The project aims to build self-reliance among women through capacity building, market linkages, enterprise development, and community-led interventions.
Position Summary
The Project Coordinator will be responsible for the overall coordination and implementation of this project at the field level. The role requires close engagement with women beneficiaries, Self-Help Groups (SHGs), community institutions, government stakeholders, implementation partners, and local leaders to ensure effective program delivery and achievement of project outcomes.
The position demands strong skills in community mobilization, stakeholder management, training coordination, field monitoring, documentation, and team supervision.
Key Responsibilities1. Program Coordination & Implementation
- Coordinate end-to-end implementation of project activities as per approved work plans and timelines.
- Support mobilization and engagement of women beneficiaries, SHGs, and community groups.
- Ensure smooth execution of livelihood, entrepreneurship, and capacity-building interventions.
- Monitor activity schedules and ensure timely completion of project deliverables.
- Coordinate with implementation partners, trainers, and field teams for effective program execution.
2. Women Empowerment & Livelihood Promotion
- Facilitate formation, strengthening, and engagement of women collectives and Self-Help Groups (SHGs).
- Support women beneficiaries in livelihood enhancement, entrepreneurship development, and income-generation activities.
- Promote financial literacy, digital literacy, and business management practices among women participants.
- Facilitate access to government schemes, entitlements, and livelihood opportunities.
- Support women-led enterprise development and market linkage initiatives.
3. Stakeholder Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with government departments, Panchayati Raj Institutions, community leaders, NGOs, and local stakeholders.
- Coordinate with district and block-level officials for project implementation and approvals.
- Organize stakeholder meetings, review discussions, and community consultations.
- Represent BharatCares during project meetings, field visits, and community engagement events.
4. Communication & Facilitation
- Facilitate community meetings, awareness sessions, workshops, and training programs.
- Maintain regular communication with beneficiaries, community representatives, and project partners.
- Ensure effective dissemination of project information and updates among stakeholders.
- Support grievance redressal and resolution of field-level implementation challenges.
5. Capacity Building & Training
- Coordinate and support training programs for women beneficiaries and community institutions.
- Organize skill-building, entrepreneurship, leadership, and financial literacy workshops.
- Support development and dissemination of training materials and learning resources.
- Strengthen capacities of field teams and community leaders for sustainable project outcomes.
6. Team Supervision & Field Monitoring
- Supervise and support field staff engaged in project implementation.
- Conduct regular field visits to monitor progress, identify challenges, and provide guidance.
- Track project milestones, beneficiary participation, and outcome indicators.
- Ensure quality implementation in alignment with project objectives and donor requirements.
7. Operations, Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain project MIS, beneficiary records, attendance sheets, and activity trackers.
- Collect field data and ensure timely submission of project documentation.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual progress reports.
- Develop case studies, success stories, beneficiary testimonials, and best-practice documentation.
- Support donor reporting, audits, and project reviews.
8. Budgeting & Administrative Coordination
- Support project operations, logistics, procurement, and vendor coordination.
- Track activity-wise expenditures and assist in budget monitoring.
- Ensure compliance with organizational policies, donor guidelines, and reporting requirements.
- Maintain project records, compliance documentation, and vendor files.
Qualifications & ExperienceEducation
- Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Rural Development, Sociology, Development Studies, Women's Studies, Management, or a related field.
- Master's degree preferred.
Experience
- 1–3 years of experience in women empowerment, livelihood promotion, skill development, entrepreneurship, CSR, or community development projects.
- Experience working with SHGs, women collectives, producer groups, or community institutions.
- Experience in project implementation, stakeholder engagement, and field operations.
