Full job description

Job Title: Executive / Senior Executive – Accounting & Income TaxJob Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Accounting & Income Tax Executive to manage accounting operations, statutory compliance, and direct tax filings. The ideal candidate should possess strong knowledge of accounting principles, Income Tax laws, financial reporting, and tax compliance. Experience with accounting software and ERP systems is an added advantage.

Key ResponsibilitiesAccounting

Maintain books of accounts in accordance with applicable accounting standards.
Record journal entries and perform ledger scrutiny.
Prepare bank reconciliations and reconcile customer/vendor accounts.
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable.
Perform balance sheet reconciliations and general ledger review.
Maintain fixed asset registers and calculate depreciation.
Assist in month-end and year-end financial closing activities.
Support internal and statutory audits by preparing schedules and documentation.
Ensure compliance with accounting policies and internal controls.

Income Tax Compliance

Prepare and file Income Tax Returns (ITR) for individuals, firms, LLPs, companies, trusts, and other entities.
Prepare tax computation and estimate advance tax liability.
Calculate and monitor advance tax, self-assessment tax, and interest under the Income-tax Act.
Handle Tax Deducted at Source (TDS) compliance, including return filing and reconciliations.
Respond to Income Tax notices, scrutiny assessments, and departmental queries.
Assist in tax planning and advisory assignments.
Prepare and maintain tax working papers and supporting documentation.
Ensure timely compliance with statutory deadlines.

Reporting & Compliance

Prepare Management Information System (MIS) reports.
Assist in financial analysis and variance reporting.
Coordinate with auditors, consultants, and tax authorities.
Maintain statutory records and documentation.
Keep updated with amendments in accounting standards and tax laws.

Preferred Qualifications

Candidates pursuing graduation or those who have completed graduation in Commerce, Accounting, Finance, or a related field (B.Com, BAF, BBI, BMS, M.Com, or equivalent).
Freshers as well as candidates with 0–3 years of experience in accounting, bookkeeping, or income tax compliance are encouraged to apply.
Prior experience with accounting or ERP software is not mandatory. Training will be provided as required.
Basic knowledge of accounting concepts, taxation, and proficiency in MS Excel will be an added advantage.
Strong analytical ability, willingness to learn, attention to detail, and a positive attitude towards professional development.
