Full job description

ERM is seeking a motivated Junior Consultant to join our Liability Portfolio Management & Remediation (LPMR) team. The role involves supporting contaminated site investigation and groundwater remediation projects, delivering high-quality technical work, and collaborating across multidisciplinary teams. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in environmental consulting and work on challenging projects for global clients.

Roles and Responsibilities

Support delivery of ERM projects by managing multiple tasks and building effective working relationships across technical communities.
Design and implement site investigations, including soil and groundwater sampling and high-resolution site characterization.
Assist in remedial design, conceptual site model (CSM) development, proposal preparation, and technical report writing.
Participate in remediation projects, including planning, monitoring, and execution of remedial activities.
Maintain health & safety standards during fieldwork and project execution.
Coordinate field activities and manage subcontractors during site operations.
Contribute to project management activities, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to client requirements.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Geosciences, Environmental Sciences, Environmental Engineering, or related fields.
2–4 years of professional experience in contaminated site investigation and remediation projects.
Strong understanding of health & safety requirements on work sites.
Hands-on fieldwork experience in soil sampling, groundwater sampling, and site characterization.
Proven report writing skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint).
Ability to manage field activities and coordinate subcontractors effectively.
Strong communication skills (written and spoken English) and willingness to travel extensively.
Ability to work in a fast-paced consulting environment, handle multiple assignments, and meet strict deadlines.
