Description</b></p><p><b><u>Responsibilities:</u></b></p><ul><li>Partner with business stakeholders to understand reporting, analytics, and data integration requirements.</li><li>Analyze source systems, business rules, and data dependencies to create clear functional and technical requirement documentation.</li><li>Design and develop scalable data pipelines, data models, lakehouse/warehouse structures, and reporting-ready datasets using Microsoft Fabric and Azure data services.</li><li>Create and maintain source-to-target mappings, data flow diagrams, transformation logic, and technical design documents.</li><li>Apply data modeling principles to support analytical, operational, and reporting use cases.</li><li>Work with business users and QA teams to support data validation, testing, defect resolution, and sign-offs.</li><li>Lead end-to-end delivery activities including design, development, testing, migration, production support, user training, and documentation.</li><li>Optimize SQL queries, data pipelines, semantic models, and reports for performance, scalability, and reliability.</li><li>Define and promote best practices for data engineering, data modeling, documentation, code quality, deployment, and support processes.</li><li>Mentor junior team members and provide technical direction on Azure/Fabric data engineering solutions.</li><li>Identify trends, patterns, and data quality issues in complex datasets and convert findings into actionable recommendations.</li></ul><p><b><u>Required skills:</u></b></p><ul><li><span>8 to 12 years of overall experience in data engineering, data architecture, business intelligence, or enterprise data platforms.</span></li><li><span>Strong hands-on experience designing, developing, and supporting data solutions using Microsoft Fabric and Azure data services.</span></li><li><span>Experience with Fabric Data Lake, Medallion architecture, Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake, Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Databricks, Fabric Lakehouse/Warehouse, Dataflows, Pipelines, and Power BI.</span></li><li>Develop and maintain conceptual, logical, and physical data models to support enterprise reporting, analytics, and operational needs.</li><li>Design end-to-end data solutions leveraging Lakehouse, Data Warehouse, OneLake, Data Pipelines, Dataflows, Notebooks, Semantic Models, and Power BI.</li><li>Define and enforce data architecture standards, governance frameworks, security models, and best practices.</li><li><span>Strong understanding of data engineering concepts including ETL/ELT, data ingestion, data transformation, data quality, orchestration, and performance optimization.</span></li><li><span>Good working knowledge of data modeling fundamentals, including conceptual, logical, and physical data models, dimensional modeling, facts, dimensions, keys, and relationships.</span></li><li><span>Excellent SQL skills, including writing optimized queries, analyzing complex datasets, and supporting query/report performance tuning. </span></li><li><span>Ability to translate business requirements into scalable data architecture, data pipelines, semantic models, and reporting-ready datasets.</span></li><li><span>Experience working with business stakeholders to understand data requirements, define source-to-target mapping, validate outputs, and support testing/sign-offs.</span></li><li><span>Ability to document technical designs, data flows, mappings, dependencies, and end-to-end delivery processes.</span></li><li><span>Good understanding of SAP data, business processes, and enterprise reporting environments is preferred.</span></li><li><span>Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills with business users, technical teams, and cross-functional stakeholders.</span></li><li><span>Ability to mentor junior team members and provide technical guidance on data engineering best practices.</span></li></ul><p><b><u>Desired Skills:</u></b></p><ul><li>Experience working as a Data Architect, Senior Data Engineer, Azure Data Engineer, or Fabric Data Engineer in enterprise data environments.</li><li>Hands-on exposure to Microsoft Fabric components such as Lakehouse, Warehouse, OneLake, Data Factory Pipelines, Dataflows, Notebooks, and semantic models.</li><li>Experience with medallion architecture, lakehouse patterns, data warehouse design, and enterprise reporting datasets.</li><li>Working knowledge of data governance, data lineage, access controls, naming standards, and reusable data engineering frameworks.</li><li>Exposure to HANA Modeling, SAP data structures, BusinessObjects, or Tableau is nice to have.</li><li>Experience working in a captive center or global capability center environment is a plus.</li><li>Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic, and cross-functional environment.</li></ul><p><b>Education
