Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Process Engineer with 10+ years of experience and extensive expertise in FRNC5 software for the thermal design, rating, revamp, and optimization of refinery and petrochemical fired heaters. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and validating thermal designs, evaluating heater performance, optimizing combustion efficiency, and ensuring compliance with API 560 & API 530 and client specifications throughout proposal, detailed engineering, and project execution.
Hands-on experience with FRNC software is mandatory.

We are seeking an experienced Process Engineering professional specializing in Fired Heater Thermal Design to join our growing Engineering Centre in Pune.
This opportunity is ideal for engineers with strong expertise in FRNC5, fired heater thermal design, combustion engineering, process optimization, and operational troubleshooting who are looking to broaden their experience through global collaboration and technically challenging projects.

Fired Heater Engineering
You will be responsible for delivering technically robust fired heater designs and performance improvements by:
- Performing thermal design and heater rating using FRNC5
- Optimizing radiant and convection section performance
- Improving thermal efficiency and combustion performance
- Conducting heater revamp, debottlenecking and capacity verification studies
- Supporting burner upgrades and fuel-switching projects
- Validating process guarantees against project requirements
- Ensuring compliance with API 560, API 530 and client specifications
Process Engineering
Prepare and review engineering deliverables including:
- Heat & Material Balances
- Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs)
- Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs)
- Equipment Datasheets
- Utility Summaries
- Performance Guarantee Calculations
- Technical Specifications
- Technical Deviations
Prepare engineering specifications for:
- Burners
- Relief Valves
- Process Valves

Proposal & Project Engineering
- Review customer specifications and recommend optimum fired heater solutions.
- Perform heater sizing and thermal evaluations.
- Prepare Bills of Quantity (BOQs) and engineering cost estimates.
- Support techno-commercial proposals.
- Participate in customer technical meetings and design reviews.
- Review vendor documentation.
- Participate in HAZOP studies.
- Coordinate with Mechanical, Combustion, Instrumentation & Controls, Electrical and Project Engineering teams throughout project execution.
Commissioning & Technical Support
Support project execution through:
- Site commissioning

- Demonstrated experience in the thermal design, rating, revamp, and optimization of fired heaters.
