Experience: 8 to 12 Years
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Civil Engineer (Transmission Line) to support the execution of a large-scale industrial project in Gadchiroli, Maharashtra. The candidate will be responsible for planning, supervising, and monitoring civil works associated with transmission line infrastructure, including tower foundations, access roads, excavation works, and quality control activities.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise and monitor civil construction activities related to transmission line projects.
Manage tower foundation works, excavation, concreting, backfilling, and associated civil activities.
Ensure execution of works as per approved drawings, specifications, quality standards, and project schedules.
Coordinate with design, electrical, survey, and construction teams for smooth project execution.
Review construction drawings, foundation schedules, and technical specifications.
Monitor contractor performance and ensure adherence to project timelines.
Conduct site inspections and ensure compliance with safety and quality requirements.
Verify measurements, quantities, and work progress for billing and reporting purposes.
Monitor material consumption and maintain project records.
Identify construction issues and provide effective technical solutions.
Support project planning, scheduling, and progress monitoring activities.
Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports for project management.
Required Skills & Competencies
Strong knowledge of transmission line civil construction activities.
Experience in tower foundation design execution and construction management.
Understanding of soil investigation reports, foundation drawings, and construction methodologies.
Knowledge of quality control procedures for excavation, reinforcement, concreting, and earthworks.
Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
Proficiency in MS Office, AutoCAD, and project management tools.
Strong coordination, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently in a site-based environment.
Preferred Experience
Experience in EHV/HV transmission line projects.
Experience in industrial, mining, power, steel, or infrastructure projects.
Exposure to PMC, EPC, or owner's engineering environments.
Familiarity with transmission line tower foundations, substation-related civil works, and site development activities.
Experience in managing contractors and multiple construction fronts.
Competencies
