Sales Manager – Kottayam

Sustenergy Foundation | Kottayam, Kerala

Job Type: Full-time
Location: Kottayam, Kerala
Experience: Minimum 3 years

Education: Graduate in Science / Engineering and MBA preferred

About Sustenergy Foundation

Sustenergy Foundation is a professional organisation working in areas including electrical safety, energy efficiency, energy audits, electrical safety audits, engineering consultancy, training and sustainability-related services.

We are looking for an experienced and result-oriented Sales Manager to lead business development activities from our Kottayam office and expand our presence among institutional and corporate customers across Kerala and India.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and execute sales strategies for professional and technical services.
Generate new B2B leads and convert them into customers.
Identify and develop business opportunities in hospitals, hotels, IT/ITES companies, industries, commercial establishments and institutions.
Build and maintain strong relationships with decision-makers, facility managers, engineering heads, HR/administration teams and senior management.
Promote services such as Electrical Safety Audits, Energy Audits, Engineering Consultancy, Training and related professional services.
Conduct client meetings, presentations, proposals and commercial negotiations.
Prepare and follow up on quotations and proposals until order closure.
Achieve monthly, quarterly and annual sales targets.
Maintain an effective sales pipeline and provide regular sales reports.
Develop new institutional accounts while strengthening relationships with existing customers.
Coordinate with technical and operations teams to ensure smooth execution and customer satisfaction.
Identify opportunities for repeat business, annual contracts and cross-selling of services.
Where applicable, guide and coordinate sales team members and contribute to building an effective sales function.

Candidate Profile

Mandatory requirements:

MBA or equivalent management qualification is preferred.
Minimum 3 years of experience in B2B/services sales in India.
Proven track record of achieving sales targets.
Experience in selling professional, technical, engineering, consulting, edutech, insurance, facility-management or other services will be strongly preferred.
Candidates with experience in leading or managing a sales team will be preferred.
Good communication, presentation, negotiation and relationship-management skills.
Ability to independently identify prospects, generate leads and close business.
Willingness to travel for client meetings and business development activities.

Candidates with previous sales experience in:

Electrical Safety Audits
Energy Audits
Electrical/engineering consultancy
Facility management services
Industrial safety or compliance services
Hospital engineering/facility services
Sustainability and energy-efficiency services

will have a significant advantage.

Compensation & Benefits

Basic Salary: ₹20,000 – ₹30,000 per month, depending on experience and suitability.

In addition:

This is a Sales Manager position focused on selling professional and technical services.

Candidates without prior services-sales experience or without experience in leading/managing a sales function are requested NOT to apply.

Candidates whose experience is limited exclusively to retail sales, counter sales, showroom sales, telecalling, Digital marketing, FMCG sales or product sales without meaningful B2B/services-sales exposure may not be suitable for this position.

We are specifically looking for a candidate who can generate business, build institutional relationships and close B2B service contracts, rather than only handle enquiries or coordinate existing customers.
