Established in 1997, MOL-IT operates from three locations—Kolkata, Hyderabad and Mumbai—with a team of over 400 software and management professionals. In alignment with the MOL Group’s strong commitment to sustainable growth, MOL-IT is advancing its digital capabilities to support decarbonization, automation, and smart operations. As part of its growth strategy, MOL-IT continues to deepen its impact within the MOL Group by aligning digital transformation initiatives with the Group’s long-term sustainability goals.

About the Role

The Project partner (.NET & Azure) will be a key technical leader responsible for architecting, designing, developing, and modernizing enterprise applications leveraging the Microsoft technology ecosystem.

This role requires extensive expertise in ASP.NET Framework (4.8), ASP.NET Core (8/10), MVC, Web API, SQL Server, Azure Cloud Services, and Azure DevOps, coupled with a strong understanding of enterprise architectures, application scalability, security, and performance optimization.

The incumbent will provide technical leadership across multiple projects, mentor development teams, establish engineering best practices, and work closely with business stakeholders to deliver innovative solutions supporting MOL Group's shipping and logistics operations.

Key Responsibilities

Application Architecture & Development

Lead the design, development, enhancement, and maintenance of enterprise web applications using ASP.NET Framework (4.8), ASP.NET Core (8/10), MVC (C#), and Web API.

Define technical architecture, application design standards, and development frameworks.

Drive modernization initiatives and cloud adoption strategies.

Ensure applications are scalable, secure, maintainable, and aligned with organizational standards.

Database Design & Performance Engineering

Drive database architecture and schema design activities.

Design and optimize SQL Server databases, stored procedures, functions, and complex queries.

Lead performance tuning initiatives for both applications and databases.

Ensure data integrity, scalability, and system reliability.

Azure & DevOps Leadership

Design and implement cloud-native solutions using Microsoft Azure.

Establish and manage Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines for automated build, test, and deployment processes.

Drive DevOps best practices, release automation, and deployment governance.

Support cloud migration and application modernization programs.

Front-End Engineering

Oversee the development of responsive and user-centric web applications using:

o JavaScript

o jQuery

o HTML5

o CSS3

Establish UI development standards and best practices.

Ensure consistent user experience across platforms and browsers.

Background Services & Automation

Design and manage background services, Windows services, scheduled jobs, and batch processing solutions.

Implement automation frameworks for recurring business operations.

Ensure high availability and performance of mission-critical background processes.

Technical Leadership

Lead technical discussions, design reviews, architecture reviews, and code reviews.

Mentor developers and provide technical guidance across projects.

Promote coding standards, reusable design patterns, and engineering excellence.

Act as a subject matter expert for Microsoft technologies.

Stakeholder Collaboration

Collaborate with business stakeholders, product owners, architects, QA teams, and project managers.

Translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.

Provide technical risk assessments and mitigation strategies.

Agile & Process Improvement

Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and technical planning sessions.

Drive continuous improvement initiatives in development processes, deployment practices, and technical governance.

Identify opportunities for innovation and technology optimization.

Technical & Skill-Based Competencies

Educational Qualifications

B.E. / B.Tech / MCA / M.Tech in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.

Microsoft Azure and .NET certifications will be an added advantage.
