Full job description

Job Summary

We are looking for a dynamic and result-oriented Assistant Manager – Human Resources to support and manage end-to-end HR operations. The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of recruitment, employee engagement, statutory compliance, performance management, payroll coordination, and HR policies. The candidate should be capable of handling HR activities independently while collaborating with department heads to ensure smooth organizational operations.

Key Roles & Responsibilities

Recruitment & Talent Acquisition

Manage end-to-end recruitment process for corporate and outlet positions.
Coordinate with department heads to understand manpower requirements.
Source candidates through job portals, social media, consultants, and employee referrals.
Conduct initial screening, interviews, and salary negotiations.
Ensure timely onboarding of selected candidates.

Employee Onboarding & Exit Management

Coordinate joining formalities and documentation.
Conduct induction and orientation programs.
Maintain employee records and personnel files.
Manage resignation, full & final settlement coordination, and exit interviews.

HR Operations

Maintain employee database and HRMS records.
Prepare appointment letters, confirmation letters, promotion letters, transfer letters, and other HR documents.
Ensure timely updating of employee records and organizational charts.
Handle attendance, leave management, and payroll inputs.

Payroll & Compliance Support

Coordinate monthly payroll with the Finance/Payroll team.
Ensure compliance with statutory requirements such as PF, ESIC, PT, Labour Laws, and Shops & Establishment regulations.
Maintain statutory records and assist during audits.

Performance Management

Coordinate performance appraisal processes.
Track probation confirmations and employee evaluations.
Assist department heads in performance improvement initiatives.

Employee Engagement

Organize employee engagement activities and celebrations.
Address employee grievances professionally.
Promote a positive work culture and employee satisfaction.

HR Policies & Administration

Implement company HR policies and procedures.
Ensure disciplinary actions are handled as per company policy.
Assist in drafting and updating HR SOPs and policies.
Maintain confidentiality of employee information.

Reporting & MIS

Prepare weekly and monthly HR reports.
Track recruitment metrics, attrition, headcount, attendance, and manpower reports.
Present HR dashboards to management.

Eligibility Criteria

Education

MBA/PGDM in Human Resources or equivalent.
Bachelor's degree in any discipline.

Experience

4–7 years of relevant HR experience.
Experience in Hospitality, Retail, Restaurant, FMCG, or Multi-Unit Operations will be preferred.

Technical Skills

Strong knowledge of HR operations and labour laws.
Experience with HRMS and payroll systems.
Good knowledge of MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
Experience with recruitment portals such as Indeed, Naukri, and LinkedIn.

Key Competencies

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong leadership and team management abilities.
Problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills.
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
High level of integrity and confidentiality.
Strong organizational and multitasking skills.

Preferred Candidate Profile

Experience managing HR for multiple locations or branches.
Strong recruitment and stakeholder management skills.
Knowledge of statutory compliance and labour legislation.
Ability to build a positive workplace culture.
Willingness to travel, if required.
