Job Description Position Title

Faculty – Accountancy (BBA Logistics and Supply Chain Management)

Job Summary

The Faculty – Accountancy is responsible for delivering high-quality instruction in accounting and finance subjects for students enrolled in the Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) in Logistics and Supply Chain Management program. The faculty member will facilitate student learning through effective teaching methodologies, academic mentoring, assessments, and continuous curriculum enhancement while fostering professional and ethical standards.

Key ResponsibilitiesAcademic Responsibilities

Deliver lectures in accordance with the prescribed curriculum and academic schedule.
Teach subjects including, but not limited to:
Financial Accounting
Cost Accounting
Management Accounting
Corporate Accounting
Financial Management
Business Mathematics (where applicable)
Taxation Basics
Prepare lesson plans, lecture notes, presentations, and study materials.
Develop and update course content in line with university guidelines and industry requirements.
Conduct tutorials, revision sessions, and doubt-clearing classes.

Student Assessment

Prepare assignments, quizzes, internal examinations, and model question papers.
Evaluate answer scripts and assignments within the stipulated timelines.
Maintain accurate academic records, attendance, and student performance reports.
Provide academic guidance and constructive feedback to students.

Student Development

Mentor students in academic and career development.
Encourage participation in seminars, workshops, industrial visits, and research activities.
Support students in project work, internships, and presentations.
Identify academically weak students and provide remedial coaching.

Academic Administration

Maintain course files, lesson plans, and academic documentation.
Participate in faculty meetings, academic planning sessions, and curriculum development activities.
Ensure compliance with university regulations, accreditation standards, and institutional policies.
Assist in examination duties, invigilation, and evaluation processes.

Industry Engagement

Integrate practical accounting applications relevant to logistics and supply chain operations.
Keep abreast of current developments in accounting standards, taxation, finance, and logistics industry practices.
Build industry connections for guest lectures, workshops, and collaborative learning initiatives.

Institutional Responsibilities

Participate in admissions, orientations, academic events, seminars, and institutional development initiatives.
Support accreditation, audits, and quality assurance activities.
Undertake additional responsibilities assigned by the Management from time to time.

Qualifications

Master's Degree in Commerce (M.Com), MBA (Finance), or an equivalent qualification from a recognized university.
NET/SET/Ph.D. will be an added advantage as per university norms.
Prior teaching experience at undergraduate level is preferred.

Experience

1–3 years of teaching experience in Commerce, Accountancy, or Finance (preferred).
Industry experience in Accounting, Finance, Taxation, or Auditing will be an added advantage.

Required Skills

Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial management.
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and digital teaching platforms.
Ability to simplify complex accounting concepts through practical examples.
Strong classroom management and interpersonal skills.
Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
